there’s a thing called letters lol

        • +6

Limited to 5mm - these are 23mm - if we send it in an envelope you will receive a bill from Australia Post for $8.20. Don't want to do that to you but thanks for the feedback. I'm always super keen to find cheaper shipping alternatives but yet to find them.

@HomeKit Australia: you know letters can be up to 20mm lol.. and I doubt the case is 23mm (the phone itself is only around 7mm thick)

I’ve ordered plenty of cases from eBay all shipped using letters, no issues at all

@HomeKit Australia: Sorry, I see - the phone cases.
They are still over 5mm so you will get a bill from AustPost.
We do have 20mm tracked envelopes …. so …. Yes, we can do up a code for these if you wish.
            What do you think?

            • +2

@HomeKit Australia: Australia Post uses computerised letter sorters and anything over the 5mm or 20mm paid size is automatically rejected. Don't know of a way to bypass the machines, other than the operator is lazy and throws it back in the sort.

              • +2

@HomeKit Australia: A tracked enveloped from AusPost costs us $5.65 so if you'd like to do up a special OzBargain code for the 99c to $1.95 + $5.65 shipping, we can do that if there's interest. I'd get the charger and add phone cases and get the lot shipped for free.
Let me know if you'd like a code for the $5.65 envelope.
                Thanks.

better value in their previous deal…

    • Yes we were running out stock of those 65w chargers.
You will get a few of these below cost offers from time to time, but only when we are deleting a product. For example the 99c to $1.95 iPhone 12 cases are all below our landed price.

Just a quick note that today's shipping closes in about 30 minutes - thanks for the orders so far.
The offer will be open until tomorrow night.

    • 5w better

      • True, but s21 needs 25w and iPhone needs 15w.

It's the older silicon design, not GaN. You can always tell the difference, a silicon charger when left on for extended charging will get a hot, a GaN charger will stay cool. GaN also delivers a higher charge regardless of the nominated output because their transfer is significantly superior so if you want to try it out, time the charge time with a silicon charger and then try the same with a GaN charger - the GaN charger will always be faster.
There's lots to read about GaN vs silicon chargers in our blog -

          • @HomeKit Australia: At HomeKit Australia, we only stock GaN chargers for a reason - they are significantly better chargers.

iPhones will charge up to 20w in the latest models. At an 80% charge, the phone will reduce the maximum power input dramatically so you essentially go to trickle charge. This is easier on the battery.
A smart charger will handshake with the device and only ever provide the maximum power being requested. You can happily plug an iPhone 12 into one of our 100w chargers without a problem - I do this every day.
