For those with UMart close to them with in-stock status and that can do pick-up, the 500GB and 1TB are selling for $68 and $129 respectively. Looks like they've reduced price today as StaticIce hasn't picked them up yet at time of posting. (Thanks to CheapGit for picking up on that.)

This is from Amazon AU locally, so should be delivered fairly quickly.

Pretty good price for a reliable SATA SSD with DRAM, good as one for main system drive. Real world performance isn't much different to other reliable SSD with DRAM, such as the MX500 or Samsung EVOs.

  • The last one I bought Windows said it is Sandisk

    • Yup, SanDisk Ultra and WD blue are the same, for the 3D NAND series. WD owns SanDisk, just different branding, same product for that specific one.

  • FYI , Crucial mx500 1tb $148 also from Amazon

    • The WD Blue is the same tier of SSD as MX500 (SATA SSD with DRAM cache), or even better if going by benchmarks with slightly higher performances and slightly better endurance rating. But they really aren't much different in everyday use, I'd say just get whichever is cheaper between the two.

Fair enough. Strange how if this deal was an Evo 860 there would be a lot more upvotes.

Well the 860 EVOs generally do have higher price tags, so the difference in price would get more attention naturally.

For those wanting an EVO 500GB, Computer Alliance have it for ~$80 with the current eBay Plus coupon.

  • 500GB has been $75 for a while, got one the other week

  • $68 $ $129 at Umart for those that can collect.
Showing same total price as Amazon when I include the $7 postage to WA for a single drive, buying 2 drives from Umart is cheaper.

      Good find
