    But will it blend track?

    • +1

      That is the question.

    • +16

Only yesterday I commented on a SB deal saying they sent me an "unfortunately we couldn't" email and this morning I got another one :D

      • +2

Sucks it didn't track, but why do you still keep using Shopback if you've had so many issues?

        • Lately, I am tracking well with both SB and CB..but I had more issues with CB compared to SB though…

        • +5

I don't, it's just a neverending story of getting some long overdue cashback.

Or, well, not getting it. I'm done with them, hence the neg.

      • Happy to follow on this up for you, PM me your email address and I'll check with the team.

    • +1

For me it's back and forth with them and CR.

In the beginning CR didn't track but SB did. Then it reversed. And now it reversed back. I have better success with SB right now than with CR, which I always had to chase up 7 days later (hoping I remember to do so).

  • If we buy items which are sent under Amazon US prime, will it still be eligible for cashback?

    • must be under amazon.com.au but can be Amazon Global seller.

    Meh….

  • +6

Seriously? I'm a huge fan of ShopBack but don't bother with Amazon. Your cashback will sit there for weeks saying "Calculating - pending" then eventually go to "$0 - rejected". I never have this problem with any other store. Worth trying, but expect to be disappointed.

    • +5

I’ve only ever had that when it’s been a category with 0%.

    • +7

Same. Every single Amazon cashback I've had has eventually been rejected regardless of eligibility with the same generic reason given. Tried disputing a few times as all my purchases were made in valid categories but it's up to the Amazon seller in the end and they always reject. The same thing has always happened with my friend too, yet it seems it works fine for some.

Never had an issue with any other seller and shopback has always tracked and paid out for me.

Just had this happen with a Amazon Lego purchase from November. Tracked perfectly with the 5% cashback on toys at the time, showed the correct amount, then a few days ago they rejected it with the reason that the order was refunded, which wasn't the case. Raised a dispute and they responded saying the actual reason is toys category is 0% cashback. Yet it tracked with an amount equal to 5% cashback. To add insult to injury, I used the $3 Amazon bonus challenge that I'm now ineligible for as well.

Won't use Shopback for Amazon purchases ever again.

    • +3

Its probably cause category was valid at time of purchase and then they changed to 0% so their stupid system rejects it. Happened to alot of my pantry and food cashbacks its too much effort to dispute them honestly. Dont use sb for amazon anymore.

  • +8

    Toys 0%. Lame.

    • Is the toys exclusion a recent thing? I don't remember it being excluded in my previous purchases using shopback

      • +1

I think so, a couple of days ago it was.. 6% I think

Dont bother now 99% of transactions dont track with the standard email response of merchant disallowed cashback. Boycott this misleading company!

    • Speak for yourself, I've never had an issue with ShopBack's tracking.

    • +2

Wdym mine says “tracked”, $0 cashback

    • Shopback's tracking is bad. Sometimes they did not track my transaction, I lost twice tracking on eBay and I did turn on the chrome extension which is green. Sometimes, it "tracked" with $0 cashback.

data breaches, no tracking.. changing over to cashrewards. at least its an australian company. see how it goes.

  • Was it always 0% cashback for physical books? It thought that was Amazon's original raison d'être?

That's all we need to know.

I used Shopback a while back in one of their flash sales and was using their Chrome extension too to make sure it tracked. A few weeks later & an appeal and the cashback was denied because it wasn't tracked properly. I would definitely hestitate using these guys over Cashrewards.

    • +1

Just use it for the free $5-10 credits and leave it at that. Good gain and super low risk :)

    • +2

I've had more issues with cash rewards - denied cashback on a couple of big purchases that were technically valid (~$300 of cashback), am dubious of going back to them.

  • +5

Doesn't track properly so stopped using. CR is better

Faced the same scenario with Shopback. A cashback with a known amount sat there from early November to late January (pending) and then whamo, it was rejected. Challenging the outcome is virtually a non-starter. I bought hundreds of items from Amazon, and the transaction dates are not always helpful. Additionally, let us say that the purchase was one of the funky 'special cashback rates, including more categories, for a special two-hour period'. I am really expected to remember this! Of course, I could do screenshots, etc., but there is a point when simple, quick confirmation from Shopback would save much grief (and lost cashbacks). Or Shopback could better identify under what circumstances (special deal designation) that the purchase was made.

  • +9

Yep don't bother with Shopback! The reliability of your purchase tracking especially if it's of high value… You'll need to flip a coin!

I've used them over the years with very small valued purchases and tracked no problems. Bet you're querying, then what's the problem and the neg?

My last experience wasn't so positive and the customer service with their patronizing and scripted responses on best practices to ensure successful cashback really hit a nerve.

Had made two purchases in the same morning from the exact same merchant. Purchase A was high value and Purchase B was peanuts.

Purchase B tracked pretty much straight up, but Purchase A tracking was no where to be seen. After querying Shopback, and then further waiting out the required 45 days investigation, received the final response that the claim was rejected. Querying this even further resulted in a dead end.

I had always seen other members mention about issues with high value purchases tracking… I should have taken note and stayed away. Never again!

  • +2

I am prepared to pay Amazon "up to" double the asking price for the item if it is electronics and "up to" three time the price if it is clothing. They just have to give me the item and a receipt for the asking price, then I will tell them how much i am going to pay after it is delivered…. Sounds like a fair deal?

  • +7

Never tracks and data breaches. Have moved to Cashrewards now.

  • There's a lot of hate for SB here. I use the app and have only had one of two issues in the last 2 years that have both been investigated and paid out. I've currently got about 20 transactions since Dec that have tracked and are all pending. No issues at all of late. Maybe the app is better?

    • My experience is that the app is def better. Complete the transaction from within the SB or CR app without opening a second app. Tracked 100%

    • +1

I've never had an issue with Shopback. Everything on web or app has tracked and paid except the ones for Amazon. On the others side of things, Cashrewards has only paid out one of mine and rejected everything else despite my usage and the way they track being exactly the same.

I don't know why things work for one and not the other, yet this is how it seems to be for everyone really. One or the other but never both working consistently.

  • Definitely seems like everything is 0% now on alot of items in stores, not just amazon. Unless you buy a unicorns d**** you're getting 0%

  • +2

I've come across the tracking issue as well. It's only recently that things were not tracking. Customer service is woeful as well. That and the whole privacy issue. Will stick to CR.

  • +5

Submitted a claim for the $10 boxing day failed cashback, got $0.11 credited to my account. $10 tracking still failed even though the rep said the automated system will sort it out. Stay away from these crooks!

  • +6

Doesn't track, seem like they are making money off the people who forget to check back for cashback

I would like shopback to be banned on ozb tbh.

  • +1

Only a deal if it works

  • +3

I am using the app and still so many issues tracking purchases on SB

  • +2

Managed to buy a PS5 from Big W using SB on chrome recently.
Purchase didn’t track and so I raised a query which was rejected without a valid reason. Asked for a review which was promptly denied… again without a valid reason.
Never using this dodgy company again - going back to Cash Rewards.

  • +5

This company is pure scum. Should be banned from OzB

  • Toys back to 0% :(

  • +4

Oh yeah this is NEVER going to track, like their boxing day deals.

  • +3

Shopback recently rejected a bunch of outstanding Amazon claims with no valid reason. Recommend you avoid this company and stay with CashRewards instead.

  • -4

For those who negative vote and claimed that their shopback didn't track. Of course if you are using other cash back site like Cash rewards, the transaction will be swallowed up by other cash back site. Be loyal to one cash back site and your transaction will be tracked.

  • +1

Stop using this terrible terrible service. I’ve moved back permanently to CW and have never been happier.

  • +1

ShopBack sucks, be aware your credit might not be honoured

  • +1

If it tracks it will be denied. They will be making so much money from these "denied" claims

  • You guys should change your name to Nocashback, not happy that you denied my tracked claims either.
