  • Confused on the output of this. In one section it says output is only USB-A but in another it says both A and C.

      QB910

      • Input Port Type: Micro-USB or USB-C
      • Output Port Type: USB-C & USB-A
      • Input (USB-C or Micro-USB): 5V๐Œ‚2A, 9V๐Œ‚2A
      • Output (USB-C only): USB PD 2.0 โ โ€” 5V๐Œ‚3A, 9V๐Œ‚2A (18W max); QC 2.0 โ โ€” 5V๐Œ‚3A, 9V๐Œ‚2A, 12V๐Œ‚1.5A (18W max)

      • Output (USB-A & USB-C): 5V๐Œ‚3A (15W total)

In my opinion, the QB910 is a better buy as it does faster charging and more versatile with the ports.

      • Ah thanks! Just realised

    • The QB810 only does USB-C input, not output. I'm not sure about the 910.

All the hate in the Romoss thread was a bit much, I had a cheap Xiaomi once, Took forever to charge and charge the device.. probably different now but either way two way USB C PD is tops.

    • +3

I beg to differ, I regret buying the Romoss SW20PS+ from Amazon deal. While it's cheap (still more expensive than ZMI QB823 Kogan deal), build quality is subpar even a lot worse than the Kogan PD power bank. I have a bunch of power banks, 2 Kogan 18W PD, 1 Blitzwolf P9, 3 generic 12W, 1 ZMI QB823, 1 Xiaomi Pro 3, 1 Xiaomi 2S and the Romoss SW20PS+. The Romoss is about as bad as those generic ones, the rest (Kogan, Blitzwolf, Xiaomi) all have very decent build.

And took forever to charge is because you don't read specs. If it has 5W-12W input/output of course it's not going to do any fast charging.

      • Fair enough, like I said my Romoss was from 2019, perhaps the build quality has changed. I don't mind the plastic, it's lighter for carry luggage, but i can see how some people want something metallic and shiny.

I know the specs and it was almost taking a whole day to charge whether plugged into the wall outlet or a 5w pc port. Nice build quality but didn't ge the job done. These things have come along a bit in the last few years. The main take away was recommending a PD 2-way power bank, whatever brand that may be.

I've also got a ROMOSS 10000mAh 18W Portable Charger Quick Charge3.0 PD with LED Display that is just as good as the 20000.

        • I bought my first Romoss powerbank few months back.Model was LT20PS+

I am not that happy with it.
Its more bulky than it needs to be and charges devices slower.

          Prefer my Xiaomi/Redmi/Zmi powerbanks.

I even love the Kogan 15000 mah PD powerbank.
          Compact,metallic and speedy.

Not planning to buy any more Romoss.

          • @techno2000: Yeah there are a few different models, have to get the right one.
Mine is pretty heavy, don't see how they'd get the battery in a smaller case. Battery tech has probably improved a bit as I said, but will see what's around when the time comes again.

ps. A lot of people complaining haven't bothered to ask Amazon for a replacement or sent it back..

      • My Xiaomi 20000mAh just recently has started to take 3x longer to be fully charged. Usually I only had to charge it around 7 hours, now it takes 3x 7 hours. It's not due to faulty charger or cable since my phone shows 'fast charge' and is charged fine.

Can I charge iPhone with the $15 one
    Someone confirm please
I have ordered a adapter just in case
Can cancel someone confirm if I can or not

    • Can someone confirm pleaseee

      • +1

Nope not the $15 one but the $14.99 one will but even then its a bit touchy on Mondays

    • The Amazon page says yes, however it may not fast charge it.

  • will QB910 charge 10w lenovo chromebook duet?

Says it will be - Compatible for Macbook and other notebook with 45W charging.

    • +1

Most laptops require 20V input. This only outputs 12V at 1.5A (18W). The 45W claim is an error by Kogan and it won't charge a MacBook.

Check the specs on your laptop's original charger. If it only outputs 12V (unlikely) then the laptop should charge with this.

      • +1

Thanks for confirming this. I thought that the 45w claim was absurd.

      • +2

Surprisingly you can charge a MacBook with just 5v.

Iโ€™ve tried it on my 15โ€ MBP using a 12w iPad charger. macOS reports โ€˜not chargingโ€™, but if you leave it overnight it definitely charges it. Itโ€™s SUPER slow though.

I have the Lenovo chromebook duet as well as a few other chromebooks that have usb C PD charging and have the QB910

as well as many other smaller/cheaper, larger and more expensive usb C PD power banks, and Yes,

they all charge them up ( some slower than others ).

The only power bank that would not play ball with my chromebooks was the Cygnett 20000mAh Pro ( did not test with my newer duet ),

so returned that one. I will dig out my QB910 and test it with the duet and rapport back when I get a chance.

  • Been at this price points for months at Kogan… QB910 Was $17.99 during boxing day dale. If only it's the QC3 version. :)

    You forgot one important feature:
    * Probably won't burn down your house. Probably.

    • Could it be worse than Samsung note 7?

  • No one plays Pokรฉmon Go anymore, so what's the point of this?

  • My old Xiaomi power bank I bought for travel seems to have broke (disclaimer - has been dropped many a time), perfect chance to grab a new one but sold out :(
