  • $25 is my go to price now

  • This or samsung evo+?

    • depends on your needs

    • +1

      I prefer Sandisk. The 2 evo+ I ever order had 1 doa.

Had at least a dozen Sandisk microsd and only 1 failed (32GB version on old dashcam)

    • definitely this as it is mlc based

  • +1

    Good for security cameras?

    • +1

High endurance like this one is made for security cams and dash cams etc. So yup :)

      • -5

meh, high endurance or not just a gimmicky term to suck you into paying more for the same GB.

@dbmitch: Dont need one, i have bunch of cards over 5 years from all brand, none of them died in my dashcam yet but there was one (Samsung pro) died somewhere in between the security camera and the pi. It is dumb to fork out almost the same money for the same capacity card that you could buy 3 years ago just because manufacturers stick the 'endurance sticker' on it.

  • Getting "corrupt file" error on Sandisk Ultra, Sandisk Edge, Samsung Endurance Pro on my cheap BlueSkySea B1W. I'm not starting to think that it's not the card's problem. :D

Will try this last and see if I need to throw away that dashcam. Thanks OP.

You need to throw away that dashcam :)

      • Haha! Will do that after this!

    • I came here with the exact same problem! I’m getting a “SD card low speed” warning on my B1W with 2 different SD cards, was thinking of trying this one but sounds like it’s a dashcam issue 😞

      • yes i was getting this as well, advice was format in the app, its going fine now

        • Same advice was given to me but after a while the issue comes back.

          • @inubaran: Yep same advice, worked for a while then the error came back. I did try the card in my action camera but when recording 4K got a similar speed error.

            • @iShibby: I’m now really starting to think that it’s a dashcam problem. 😅

  • Thanks OP, ordered two. Almost bought them full price a week ago.

  • Been waiting for this. Got 2 thanks!!

  • I need one for my gopro, I might wait for an extreme version :) My free prime subscription runs out in a couple of days so fingers crossed something comes up :)

    • Extreme is better and did you extend your free prime trail yet

      • Ok thanks for info mate, No not extended yet expires on the 2nd Feb - I don't plan on extending it, just don't use it enough.

Beware of using this in dashcams, security cam etc. as this is not a suitable product, is prone to failing, and most likely not an MLC. Samsung PRO Endurance ones are leaps and bounds better. But, if for whatever reason you want to stick to SanDisk, I would recommend going for their new Max Endurance range as they are much better. You've been warned!

    • Cheers.. took your advice

    • +1

Thanks, now waiting for either Samsung PRO Endurance or Sandisk Max Endurance 128GB cards to be available around $25-$26…

    • +1

Care to explain your reasons? I thought the high endurance is to be used for security cams etc..?

      • You are right but also not. It's like saying that for good boot space one should buy an 'SUV'. Which is not incorrect but you have to realise that some SUVs may have huge boot space (e.g. Prado) while there may be others who have named/marketed themselves as SUV but their boot space is smaller than many hatchbacks (e.g. CX30).
As far as reasons - my own experience and subsequent market research for them. Hope this helps.

        • Ok fair enough. I personally haven't used the sandisk high endurance before but as a photographer I have always used sandisk cards and never failed me once. I would never use anything else. Could be a different story with the high endurance series, who knows!

          • @itstuan: I have plenty of SanDisk with no issues. It's just that their High Endurance series is a sham and probably the reason they had to launch a 'Max' Endurance last year. I'm currently using their 256GB Max Endurance myself in a dashcam and has been going good.

    • If I fail it still cover under warranty right? This product carry 10 years warranty?

  • Seems to be available for $30.97 only now.

I purchased this micro SD from the $25 deal. Just sent it back for a refund 2 days ago. I had it in my Blackvue dashcam and it caused the dashcam to reboot or shutdown frequently. Have gone back to my Samsung micro SD which seems more reliable and stable

I have noticed a number of dashcam manufacturers explicitly state you should NOT use SanDisk products.

      • Garmin recommend it
