Save your money for GTA 6

    • +11

We'll be able to buy a house by the time it comes out.

      • +1

maybe for a house in gta5

    • +11

You mean GTA 5 on Xbox series S series 2 or PS6? That aside, preordered this game and will never preorder again from CD Project in the Red

    • +1

      Is GTA6 Rockstar's Half-life 3???

      • well gta 6 is quite obviously going to come out

        • +6

i don't think you should presume its sexual orientation…

    • exactly

  • +1

    Game is still broken

    • Yep. Just wait a few more months till the bugs are patched out, and you can probably get it even cheaper too.

      • The bugs aren't that bad on the PC version. The big problems were with the "legacy" consoles, the PS4 and XB1.

The problem with the PC and every version is what was promised versus what was delivered. And that will never be patched out.

        • +2

Agreed. I have 200+ hours on the game, and was able to play it without experiencing much in the way of bugs on PC. Certainly nothing game breaking. I do hear that it is a different story on console though, but I don't understand the hate on PC.

          • @Kinjiru: I thought the general consensus on PC was that the game is pretty good? I've been playing on PC too and very much enjoying it.

  • +15

Game is fairly decent on pc. Happy for the price.

Only main bug i have had is the recent big patch broke a character calling me. He would call then not say anything. Had to reload a save from 1 mission earlier. Not a big deal.

There is the occasional weird glitch. Cars driving through things they shouldn't, a woman's clothing appearing several seconds after i walked out of a building ect.

    • +8

Agree with this. Yes it has bugs and I can't turn on all the eye candy, but overall quite enjoyable and I've spent $35 on much worse things in my life (that's like 2-3 drinks at a club).

    • +1

That calling bug was also fixed in a hot fix that came out this morning. A 15gb hot fix.

    • +2

      Maybe he was shy?

      Console player spotted

      • "base" console player. PS4 pro actually runs it well.

        • I'm playing on base PS4 and I don't find it to be that bad. Crashes if you go for 4ish hours straight, there's the odd texture that's slow to load and sometimes I get forced into first person view when entering a car but overall I'm still really enjoying it

    • +3

On my second playthrough and still enjoying it very much. As with anything, YMMV

    • Nah it works fine on my switch

    • +1

Upvoted for the passion in that last paragraph.

      • downvoted for the delusion lol

    • +2

People know about issues with the game at this point.

    • +3

Works fine on my Nokia 5110.

    • +1

I for one am downvoting you because you're a sad, sad person.

    • +1

You damn right Ima downvote you, cuz you asked for it lol

  • This is the best game i've ever played.

$36 is a bargain! 20 cents an hour for ridiculous entertainment, sign me up!

    • I would happily pay that price for a PS4/PS5 copy. I am just curious :)

      • You don't want a PS4 copy!

For PC though, it's pretty good. Some weird glitches but nothing game breaking.

    • -1

Is this also the only game you've ever played…?

  • +4

Honestly just wait until it's fully fixed. Or when it eventually goes for like $15-20. I got it for about the same price (before launch day) and I haven't touched it after the first week because I was disappointed in the bugs and the fact that it's not as realistic as GTA V was (and that's a game that came out 7 years ago).

Really disappointed in CD Project Red considering how much reputation I had for them. Learnt my lesson in pre-ordering and will wait and see how the games play before I buy them.

And to those who enjoyed it, I'm glad that you did. The story is great, even if it's hard to get through because of the bugs and how not immersive it is. Just wish they had the gameplay working well.

Btw, played on PC as well.

    • +2

Agree. I've finished it on PC but was really let down by the total lack of polish.

      • +1

Maybe the problem was too much of it ;^p

    • +1

It's crazy because Witcher 2 and 3 are both very polishes games. To see them fail so badly in another genre is pretty frustrating. :(

  • -8

This game is broken. Not worth it.

  • +2

Game is still a bit buggy but generally only minor glitches on PC. Other than the glitches it's a brilliant game. Finished it twice.

That said, I have a decent computer (with an RTX 3080)

I have heard of issues with lower spec'd computers. I also have it on PS4. Playing on PS5 it's totally playable but crashes once per hour.

On PC I've only had 2 crashes in over 100 hours of play.

    • +5

Re: It's a feature, bro. It's so nice of them to tell you to take a break and relax your eyes every hour.

  • +1

Code only reduced it from $39.82 to $37.82

    • I think OP converted USD 27.54 into AUD

  • +2

Good game, music is awesome, characters, main line quest and Keanu Reeves side quest are very good.

You'll have to play vigilante to make cash and then be able to afford expensive items.

Once you get decent items, frustration will disappear and the game will almost become easy (except for some melee fighting challenges that I struggled with until I properly buffed my character's body stats and upgrades).

As far as bugs, I'm on v1.04 (not enough storage left to update it..!) and it has been playable independently of glitches here and there.

    I've been playing it at 1080p@60fps with RT psycho on i9-9700k@5Ghz & 32GB 3200-15-15-15-35

    • +5

The fact that you gave your RAM timings and not your GPU is making me doubt your review.

      • Lol, Sorry, missed to specify and couldn't edit so here it is - I've been playing cyberpunk with NVIDIA GeForce 3060ti

  • +1

$36 should be the defacto retail price of Cyberpunk 2077 in its current state really. I guess this is just how it is when you release a game 57 years early.

The storyline is enjoyable, but after I finished that I don't find myself coming back to the game like I do with GTA & even Saints Row games.

The rest of the game including open world experience is just polished enough for you to play the quests, AI programming is really basic in general and you lack basic features like hairdressers, recreational minigames (like bowling or silly game modes), car customization and buying safehouses.

Performance is good enough with my RTX 2080 (1080p Ultra no RT, approx <100fps with DLSS quality), and while there are many bugs I've only had one game breaking one (patch 1.06 iirc) where a suitcase blocked a door I needed to pass through and even reloading saves didn't get rid of it.

I got it for about the same price at launch with a VPN and I can understand why if you paid full price you would be really mad, and it's not even "you must be a console player" that people are using to dismiss criticism on this post. They really under delivered what they have shown in interviews & demos in 2020, and what they did deliver is like an open beta experience.

  • +1

HL-Alyx is the best game I've played in the past year, 2nd Fallen Jedi and 3rd is Cyberpunk. CP2077 still on 1.06 and no major bugs, just glitches and texture issues… but I have seen some major bugs on utube and sections I've already played through. Makes me think they have some kind of randomsation engine, which seems to exponentially break the game if something is done early on. I started the game as Corpo.

    The futuRe is …… blurry

    Really blurry

  • +4

This game is so futuristic you can't play it in the present!

  • Game is awesome on PC. Always go back to it. The Katana is so, so fun..

  • Would a RTX 2070 mobile (with/without Ray tracing) be able to handle this?

    • +1

I've played on an MSI Creator P65 that has an RTX 2070, i9, and 32gb of ram - it actually ran it pretty well with medium to high settings and some of the rtx effects turned on. I was using DLSS too though.

  • At this price, I think I'm ready to give it a go…

Hopefully the GTX 1660 Super I have in my rig while I wait for RTX 30x0 situation to become a tad more sane will do it justice.

  • I bought it from gog even cheaper than this price, I got refund. Ask them if you bought from it. they will do it for you.

  • Excuse my ignorance so this is a stand-alone copy and not tied to steam or anything of that nature?

  • I think GOG Russian VPN trick comes to a similar price maybe cheaper - I can't remember how much I paid for mine.

  • By the way don't believe all the "broken" comments. Just noobs trying to get it to run on their 5 year old PCs complaining they can't render etc - stick to CSGO. Sure there are some minor bugs but on my 3070 full graphics, albeit on a 1080 resolution, looks (profanity) sweet. Story line is original and voices have been done well. City looks and feels like something from the future. Definitely worth the $20 - $30 I paid for it.

  • Posting to add my 2c that I've played 50+ hours on the PC version and am enjoying the game immensely.
I've noticed a few glitches but only one that was game breaking (phone call that I couldn't accept and didn't go away). Just reloaded a previous save and was fine the next time.
