go go go!
is that the strawberry cheesecake ?
Different flavour, but Strawberry Cheesecake is also worth getting
Bought 2! Always Strawberries & Cream! their best.
I had their blueberries and cream and I think it’s better than the strawberries and cream.
never seen that one before.
me neither
Tip: these are now $8 all the time at Coles
I'm aware, but $7 is $1 cheaper!
For real?
(profanity) why did you tell me this? RIP Weight
Mango and Raspberry, yes please….
ohh, my second favourite.
Does WW carry that flavour? Thought it was only at Coles.
Salted caramel for the win !!!
can't talk, clearing the shelves.
Yep this is the true king!
Cookie Dough Chip mmmmmmmmm
Prefer Australian
I do too, but all ice cream in the market uses crap filler & sugar water to fill the ice cream.

I don’t know whether it fits your criteria but I’m a fan of Bulla
https://www.bulla.com.au/products/ice-creams/ice-cream-tubs/
For those in Adelaide try https://goldennorth.com.au/
Bulla has the best tasting vanilla icecream IMO.
Not sure about the ingredients.
@Mi2: Bulla Creamy Classics:
Fresh Milk, Fresh Cream (25%), Liquid Sugar (Sugar, Water), Milk Solids, Maltodextrin (Maize), Emulsifier (471), Thickeners (412, 407), Flavours, Colour (160b), Contains no less than 10% Milk Fat in Ice Cream
@bangabargain: I once went to a class ran by a health expert. They said the rule is simple - anything that has numbers in the ingredients means they are artificial stuff that you want to avoid. Ever since then I actually look at the ingredients and avoid those where I can.
Also, many of you probably know, the ingredients are listed in the order of quantity (%). So for example if sugar is listed as one of the first couple of items, I try to look for an alternative. You'll be surprised how the (quantity of) ingredients differ by brands.

Not all of them are bad though. There’s a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about the origins of certain food additives.
Regardless, it’s a good idea to prioritise whole foods over processed foods anyway.
@skittlebrau: Yeah sometimes the numbers are literally just salt or simple acids and such:
290 Carbon dioxide
330 Citric acid
392 Rosemary extract
440 Pectin
500 Sodium bicarbonate
500 Sodium carbonate
901 Beeswax, white and yellow
There are a bazillion other things in the list as well, but just going by numbers, a few of these are just normal chemicals in everyday life

Yeah street's vanilla tastes pretty bleh imo, I find I like Bulla's vanilla quite a fair bit more
Nah try Gundowring it’s way better than all of those
Sounds good, even found a place that stocks it nearby, will see if I can try it. Just vanilla or any other recommended flavours?
@Meconium: Couldn't wait for your reply, just got the French Vanilla, made me weak at the knees. Melts differently and you can taste the ice crystals inside it, but it tastes amazing.
@Meconium: Yep it's a ripper. Orange & Cardamom is my fave.
The Haagen ice cream isn't worth the price imo. I got a massive amount when they were only $2.50 each from this deal and I don't think they are worth $7 each - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/512842
Because you only had Vanilla.
I find some Haagen I know others love I absolutely hate (Like I quite disliked the vanilla, salted caramel, and cookies one) whereas some I really love like the machiatto brownie one, or the peanut butter one (I've forgotten the other flavours I've tried)
Agreed, the Cookie Dough Chip one is bland, it would be good if it had a more chocolaty cookie or creamy taste. All I tasted was just a sweet taste. The salted caramel is a bit average to me probably I am not really into caramel ice cream. The vanilla one I have never tried. Why buy vanilla when there are other flavours? ;)
It's the LEGO or Apple or Dyson of ice cream?
(No, I'm not willing to pay the premium either)
Hmm the app says not on special but the website says yes. Some1 forgot to update the app it seems. We'll skip the written warning this time. 😛
The salted caramel one is ridiculous. Those pieces of caramel have no right being that delicious.
Nothing better than Belgian Chocolate!! Family is addicted to Haagen-Dazs, so think goodness Woolies does these discounts. :)
I really liked their Brownie Macchiato but it seems no longer available shortly after release.
I also don‘t understand why they discontinued the Peanut Butter Crunch both in tub and stick form, it was delicious.
Brownie Macchiato was so delicious, haven't seen it for a long time.
Buy good quality ice-cream and have less of it. Buy cheap 'value' stuff and you'll eat more then see it on yourself in the mirror.
I still have two tubs of Brownie Macchiato in the freezer. I didn‘t want to eat it because I don’t see it available anymore :(
While lucky you have the two tubs, unfortunately it'll be the least satisfying brownie macchiato you've eaten. The last spoonful of that second tub will be followed by… "(profanity)".
@FXx: So true :(
Unsure what states you are from but try Spudsheds, they have those for like $2.99.
Talking about Bulla ice cream, their premium brand is half price at Coles. $5 for 460ml
https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/bulla-murray-st…
There are other flavours as well. I enjoyed the BlackBerry with brownie pieces…
https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/bulla-murray-st…
Fresh Milk, Fresh Cream (27%), Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Milk Solids, Roasted Peanuts (3%), Egg Yolk, Cocoa Solids (1.5%), Thickeners (1442, Locust Bean Gum, Guar Gum, Carrageenan), Condensed Milk, Butter, Natural Flavour, Tapioca Syrup, Salt, Vegetable Oil, Mineral Salt (Sodium Phosphate), Caramelised Sugar, Natural Colour (Vegetable Carbon), Contains on average 13.5% Milk Fat in Ice Cream
Bulla is ridiculous trying to flock that for more than Haagen Dasz. Totally different league
Anyone happen to find macademia nut flavour (which is different from macademia nut brittle) anywhere in Melbourne?
Or some flavours just dont get imported to Australia?
Here's the link from haagen daaz sg site:
https://www.haagendazs.com.sg/products/macadamia-nut-pint/
oh yeeeeessssss this is the greatest flavor and they it is using Australian nuts, macadamia nuts!!! We neeeeeed this one because this is absolutely the best one and it's Australian so why don't we get it???!!!!
Omg yes this is a great flavour and cookies and cream! So milky!!
According to the iceceam review the peppermint mango is the best flavour
Do they have cookies and cream in woolies? That’s honestly so good.
Macadamia is the best flavor!!!! (made with Australian nuts, not available in Australia)
They also have green tea flavour in overseas.
overseas gets the best stuff, we just have sugar+sugar+sugar, so sad….
Yup. Every time I'm back in Singapore I would stock up on macadamia. Haagen-Dazs are much more expensive over there- 2 for $27 when there's a "sale".
https://www.fairprice.com.sg/search?query=haagen+dazs
Seems like no more Macademia flavour.
I've had strawberry cheesecake flavour when in Singapore a few years ago. Best ice cream I've ever had, hands down. Hope they bring it to Australia soon
We already have strawberry cheesecake flavour here :)
Can confirm; there's a tub in my fridge at the moment
You should keep it in the freezer instead
Thanks for letting me know. Seems we don't usually stock it in our store. Will definitely get a few tubs first thing tomorrow morning :)
Have to look hard unfortunately. I came to Australia in Sept 2019 and just found my first strawberry cheesecake tub during this deal. Bought four!!
@poposhh: It only came out some time last year I believe
We want Macadamia flavor!!!
are these really sweet>?
Häagen-Dazs trivia: it's a nonsense name invented in the US by someone who wanted to sound Danish. An actual translation from Danish of the brand's pronunciation "haagen das" would be the Aussie equivalent of "chin dunny".
yep american marketing at its finest
not the product itself
We are all going to be there at opening tomorrow and raiding at least 7 flavours as by day 2 only the stuff like mud coffee that ends up at clearance stores is normally left :)
Time to look at Coles discount codes I guess .
Sale ends today
@kerfuffle: I had better get in there then .
Coles new everyday price for Haagen-Dazs is $8 https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/haagen-dazs-sal… as of 1st of Jan, miss the peanut butter flavour, no emulsifiers in that one.
I'm not entirely sure of flavors as it changes but the supermarket chain NQR has tubs ($3.5) and the individually wrapped boxes of three ice creams for $3 all the time. If you're lucky enough to live close by.
For e.g.

STRAWBERRY is the best!!!!!!!!! Time to stock up:))))))
