Is Taco Bell still a thing?

    • -2

It was never a thing in Australia

      • +4

they withdrew from the market but have re-entered.

so it was a thing, stopped being a thing and has started being a thing once more.

although not much of a thing.

      • -1

can we return to when they were not a thing please

        • +5

who is force feeding it to you?

    • +1

Tried and failed a few times, Collins Foods have the rights now and seem to be doing OK.

Perosnally prefer them to Guzman and the other QSR mex alternatives.

  • +3

I got so hyped after watching kung pow. Many years later i finally try taco bell in Australia and am severely disappointed

    • Yep, Likewise. Mine was a bit Cold think they pre-make and than put in microwave.

      • Sad state when the pub tacos are better than theirs

    • Boiled chicken cubes, fake as beschemel, soggy fries.

      GYG is way better.

      • +2

GYG is also overpriced. Decent burrito at $5 though

        • -1

          Compared to what?

Zamberino is more expensive and has smaller servings. Tastes pretty fresh though.
Mad mex is average at best, I dont even think they put stock on their rice.

Gyg's chips with Chipotle Mayo tastes like 3 Michelin stars compared to whatever sog taco Bell is serving. What kind of fast food joint has a conveyor system where your food is handled by 6 different people?

    • What is Kung Pow?

  • +2

$2 for convenience whenever you need to plough the roof of your mouth and smudge runny sauce all over your mouth.

    • 🤣

  • +1

We don’t see the Taco Bell dog on tv anymore… I always wonder whose taco he ended up in

  • -1

That is honestly the shittest taco I’ve ever seen. I’d pay to not wrap my laughing gear around that.

Only 4 NSW stores, all in places nowhere near Sydney lol

    • yeah, like Blacktown?

      • Lol Blacktown is the middle of nowhere mate. They have no metro NSW stores

        • middle of sydney is more like it, i don't think you know what metro means.

          • @[Deactivated]: I'm talking the city of Sydney which has postcode 2000. Not your definition of Sydney which obviously includes timbucktoo

They have no stores anywhere near the CBD. Which is bloody strange.

            • @harthagan: lol this is the opposite of what the sydney metro area is, it's not my definition try wikipedia

Located on Australia's east coast, the metropolis surrounds Port Jackson and extends about 70 km (43.5 mi) on its periphery towards the Blue Mountains to the west, Hawkesbury to the north, the Royal National Park to the south and Macarthur to the south-west. Sydney is made up of 658 suburbs, spread across 33 local government areas.

              • @[Deactivated]: The City of Sydney is bounded by Port Jackson in the north, the Woollahra Municipal Council area and Randwick City in the east, the Bayside Council area in the south, and the Inner West Council area in the west.

The City of Sydney includes the suburbs of Alexandria, Annandale (part), Barangaroo, Beaconsfield, Camperdown (part), Centennial Park (part), Chippendale, Darlinghurst, Darlington, Dawes Point, Elizabeth Bay, Erskineville, Eveleigh, Forest Lodge, Glebe, Haymarket, Millers Point, Moore Park, Newtown (part), Paddington (part), Potts Point, Pyrmont, Redfern, Rosebery (part), Rushcutters Bay, St Peters (part), Surry Hills, Sydney, The Rocks, Ultimo, Waterloo, Woolloomooloo and Zetland

Since you are insisting upon being so pedantic.

                • @harthagan: you mentioned metro
