Apple iPhone XR 64GB $99 Upfront with Telstra $99 Per Month Plan (150GB 12 Month Plan) - Instore Only @ JB Hi-Fi

100

Good for someone looking to switch to Telstra genuinely as ETC wont be worth it on this deal.

(99*12)/2 = 594 (ETC) + $99 (Upfront) = $ 693 total price, if ETC method is used which is $6 less than listed price of iphone xr 64GB at the moment on JB Hifi.

  • Thanks for posting!
What would the ETC be in this case?

    • As far as i know, ETC is half of the total price ,,, so (99*12)/2 = 594 + $99 = $ 693 total price, if ETC method is used which is $6 less than listed price of iphone xr 64GB at the moment on JB Hifi.

    Total $1287 - Phone value $699 = $587

    sim = $49pm x 12m (if they still do the $10pm port in credit = $467 or $38.91pm

If you’re buying to resell & just keep the sim likely $500-$550 resale value not worth it

        it makes you happy

        Yes, full of joy…

I pay $150 per year on the Telstra network…

i am paying $0 on Telstra network, from a year 🤭

          • @ChipsChicky: After using it at several spots up the east coast this Christmas I’m considering doing the same. Voda and Optus were both at least as good. Optus noticeably better.

              Depends where you travel to.

I've found through my travels that most of the time, you'll get the best reception via Telstra. There are exceptions of course.

  • Seems expensive.

ya, for OzB … for anyone who ain't follow OzB, its a very good deal.

  • Was considering this but a bit too pricy for me for a 64gb. Currently using 6s with next to no battery and desperately need to upgrade. Might buy the 128gb XR outright for $779 or whatever it is, and stay with prepaid $30/month until there’s a gift card Telstra deal again. I ported out to Optus late Nov/early Dec and have been waiting waiting.

$40 usually to get iphone 6s new battery fixed from any mobile shops located on pedestrian way in malls or you can buy of $20 from ebay and fix yourself, heaps of videos online.

  • That's a steep price for one of these. I wouldn't go on a $99 plan

  • $99 a month for an older budget model? Is this for real?

  • +1

have been waiting for a sim only deal + gift card..

    • Sim only deals are always there with gift cards, kind of a long running deals … Click the link in deal and scroll down … $500 Jb hifi gc with $99/month Telstra … is that what you mean ?

I just got offered $400 gift card on $69/month with bonus 20gb (80gb/month) or $600 gift card on $99/month with bonus discount $10/month. If these are of any interest to anyone. Not advertised anywhere as far as I can see.

I currently do prepaid either $30/$40 month. So $69/month = $828 less $400 gc value = $35.67/month so pretty on par. Used the gift card towards buying 128gb XR. And will replace my 6s battery for $40 and keep as phone for kiddo.

    • Did you ask for a bargain instore or the rep just offered you ? Usually its $300 GC for $69/m Plan.

Atleast, one person got benefit of this post :)

      • +1

Nope the rep just offered me. I was just going to buy the phone outright and said I had ported out to wait for a good deal.

Ahan … It was your day … Some reps are legend.
