  • Says $36 50% off is $18 last time I checked.

    • USD or AUD?

  • Will the cases develop a ring stain on the back?

    • Thanks for asking. It won't have a stain even for long-time use.

for downsides watch from 4:50. Also the dude mentions it is for $20 USD. so not really a 50% discount the store is claiming they are offering. Not actually a bargain now, is it?

  • Only 7.5W charging right?

    • Yes, both chargers provide 7.5W and wirelessly charge your iPhone 12 from 0% to 50% in 50 minutes.

If you wanted to get an idea of how much margin 'Aus stock' sellers make.

  • You're selling the case for $11 USD ($~14 AUD) on Amazon US, why so much more here? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KF2C78W/

So there aren’t many reviews on this car charger, it’s hard to make an informed purchased.

I bought it on a whim, as I was desperate for a car mount. Firstly the mounting, I have the silicon apple case on my 12pro max, and it attaches to the vent mount very securely, the ball and socket joint holds the weight of the phone and doesn’t pivot if done up tightly. The vent clip doesn’t slide in as far as I’d like but it does hold fairly securely. Without a case on my phone it holds well enough as there is a rubber lip around the magnet on the mount. I find the friction+magnetic force from a case to be the ideal set up.

Lastly, the charging. I have not been able to get it to work. It just switches back and forth between being charged and not being charged. There are two possible answers, the USB port I’ve plugged it into isn’t provided enough power, or apple has not yet fixed wireless charging on the 12 pro max, as my belkin 3 in 1 wireless charger does the exact same thing of charging then not then back again repeatedly.

I mean, for the price it’s a better option than the apple approved Belkin car mount without wireless charging. I think I read that the ball and socket mount is somewhat universal, so you can adapt a different type of mount to hold the unit in place

    • I have this too and I am quite happy with it.
I plugged it into a cigarette lighter charger that has QC3 and I haven't run into the charging issue, although mine is a non-Max.
