    I picked up the s5 max for about $580 2 months ago. this isn't even close to being a 'bargain'.

        Yep big fan of the device. I haven't tried the mop function yet, but my friend says it mostly just gets the floors a little wet. so can't comment on that. Also not sure if it can tell the difference between carpet and hard floor when it comes to mopping.

        but for vacuum function and app usability, it's excellent.

    Still waiting for the Roborock S5 Max to go sub $600. If you can make that happen I bet you'll get plenty of sales.
    Currently $649 on Kogan, so not really a deal.

    The S7 is due in March isn't it?

    Unless the price is mid $500's where it usually lands on sale (S5 Max), people will be waiting until then for the discounted - "another generation older" run-out

      s5 max has same spec as s6, but with bigger water tank
      a youtube video has detail comparison between roborock models

        It's not the bigger water tank it's the electric water pump which enables no mop zones through the app. The s6 uses a on off switch on the tank which is gravity fed

    Waiting for the S7….looks like the mopping feature will be alot better and with a house full of wooden floors, it will be a great one to have. But knowing Xiaomi nowadays the price might be sky high too.
