[PC] GOG - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - $11.99 (was $39.99)/GOTY $23.69/Expansion Pass $9.99 - Humble Bundle

260

This deal is back again!

This is the all time lowest price for the standard edition.

You will get a GOG key which you can redeem on GOG.com and then get your DRM-free copy of the game there (so exactly the same as buying from GOG directly).

On Humble you can get $1.10 back into your Humble wallet, effectively lowering the price by another $1.10.
On the Expansion Pass you will get $0.91 back into your Humble Wallet.

All that considered the effective price paid for the GOTY version using the Expansion Pass trick is $19.97.

If you want the GOTY, then buy the Standard Edition and the Expansion Pass which will give you the GOTY edition for 21.98!

I bought GOTY previously for $8.69 I think with the $15 Epic Games coupon deal. This isn't a bad deal regardless, it's a great game.

That was fixed pretty quickly as it was a "mistake" by Epic and not intended by CDPR.

Wasn't aware of that, apologies. Looks like I snagged a beautiful deal then!

        • You did indeed!

If you don't own this game, don't think, just buy it. Thank me later … ;)

    • Which version for someone who’s never really played any of these?

      • +1

Play 3, but watch a whole bunch of Witcher (book) and game 1 and 2 videos on Youtube. There are characters that reappear in 3 from the first two games. There are world events that happen or have been happening since the first game, so a lot of emotional attachment starts from prior knowledge. I went in blind playing the 3rd game and I sort of regret not knowing some of the stuff from the previous games.

    • Unofficial reseller. Keys can be risky (and yes, I speak from my own experience!).

  • I'm currently 80 hours into this and I haven't even finished the base game yet. Everyone knows this game is good but I never realised just how much high quality content it has; I basically haven't even touched the noticeboard or scavenger hunt quests either so if you really like the game there's a lot you can get out of it.

  • Looks like there are 3 games of Witcher 3? Which one will you recommend if I am only trying 1 as my first game of Witcher? Thanks!

    • +1

There is only one game that is The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.
You can buy the vanilla version and then later, if you like it, you can buy the expansion pass.
Or you can buy both immediately as most people would definitely greatly recommend the game and the expansions if you like RPGs.

From my earlier reply to another person:

    • Witcher 2 is on sale also for 3 bucks… For the price of a coffee you could give it a go, and you might not like it… oh well. Or you could have an experience like I did and enjoy the heck out of it. So much so that I replayed and finished it 3 times and read a whole series of novels just to experience more of the lore, all in anticipation for what looked like a pretty good game called Witcher 3.
