Yes they’re just themes.
Also free on the Mac App Store by the looks of it (which appears to be pretty crap as it won't even search for anything) sigh
Shows "iOS only" to me in Mac App Store.
What's the trick?
No trick. I just Googled it and followed the link which then opened the app store on my Mac. No cost involved.
That link also says the app is iOS-only.
Checked both on Mojave and Catalina.
Edit: Oh, you might be able to just run it because of Catalyst in Big Sur or M1 processor. I haven't seen that way yet IRL. Still, it's an iOS-only app and what you're doing applies to most of iOS apps, so if it's free for an iPhone or iPad, it's probs going to be the same on your Mac.
@pizzaguy: Ahhhhh, yes that could be it actually! I'm running a MacBook Pro M1 w/ Big Sur so I'm likely running the iPadOS version.
needs ios 14 :\
On iOS there are currently 5 themes that seems to be free.
They are:
- Dark Blizzard
- Cozy Cabin
- Gingerbread
- North Pole
- Ugly SweaterIn the app it will still show $0.99 but if you tap on that, when it pops up asking for the purchase it won’t have a price because it’s free. If you don’t trust me, tap another theme that is not listed above and you will see the pop-up showing a price.
Ugly Sweater theme is not free even after taping it.
That's a pretty cool little app.
What are the In-App purchases - just the themes?
