True to size ? or 1 size up. I am usually 11 - 12, so thinking of getting a 12
They run a little large in my experience with Rivers shoes, although I've never worn these. Also they're AU size, not US.
I concur, have a few pairs in both styles and love 'em.
Have many pairs of much more expensive Goodyear welted footwear that are clearly better quality, but for this price these are very good bang for buck, very easy to slip in and out of and cheap enough that never worried if they are potentially going to get a beating.
They do have synthetic inners, but for the price are great knockabout boots, very comfy and the sole on a pair I was doing a lot of walking in for about a year hardly shows any sign of wear.
Give the laceup version a coat of waterproof spray and they are my go tos for wet weather (so much more comfortable to walk in than a pair of Timberlands I bought for the same purpose). Haven't hiked in the laceups, but feel like they would easily be up to the task.
Used to be able to get a new member registration $10 off coupon with Rivers as well, but can't see it on their site from my browser now, even if I clear the cache (could be my ad blocker though).

Most companies would call them 'comfort work boots' but Rivers is being honest about it…
They are uncomfortable?
For those who don't understand Welt…
Goodyear Welted is a method of shoe construction first developed nearly 200 years ago and remains to be widely considered as one of the best.
Cushioned innersole for comfort.
But how will people know about my multi-leg bet, alcohol, and bag addiction if I’m not wearing rm’s?
Ebay has them as well, funny thing is if i choose light tan size 10 it says $34.97. Size 7-12, size 8 sold out. $10 postage for the first pair, free postage for every other pair of boots

Tan is my favourite colour in this style (goes with anything casual), although out of stock in some sizes on this Ebay listing.
Note they wear a bit big.
I'm usually a UK8.5 to 9 (RM Williams and UK brands), but even an 8 in these is more than roomy enough for quite thick socks.
The pair of 9s I bought of these is okay with a thick insert in though.
First time on their site I've seen these available in half sizes, but still I'd probably err on the side of caution and go down a size from your normal (even if you get them shipped can always exchange in-store if they have stock available).
Also worth noting the black version in the elastic-sided boots has a grain leather texture (not smooth like for the other colours).
Black in laceups is standard smooth texture though.
Too rounded to be anything but a work boot, and a work boot without caps.
So a yard boot really.
Thanks bought chestnut
Solid all-rounder colour :-).
Is the site shoe sizing US or AU? I couldn't see it mentioned. Thanks
AU/UK sizes, but as per my comment above, pretty generous roominess even as a UK size.
Would recommend sizing down half to one full size from your normal UK shoe size, although can always put in an extra insole if find on the big side.
Does anyone know how water resistant the uppers are on these boot are?
Laceups pretty waterproof, but I used a waterproof spray on top to make sure and that makes them my go tos for walking in heavy rain - socks and feet remain dry even if frequently stomping through puddles.
Elastic-sided also pretty good, but not 100%. Cursory exposure to water would be fine, but the leather is likely to soak up the water a bit after extended time in a deep puddle. Elastic also likely to to get wet if exposed for extended period.
Now $78 🙁
can confirm, coming up as $78 for me too :(
maybe they adjusted it this morning, or is there a coupon or something?
Been wearing these for years, love 'em.
