      but having said that i have a large dog who sleeps on my smaller dogs beds and hangs out on all sides.

      Probably not if your german shepherd likes to stretch out, but maybe if it likes to curl up. A German Shepherd is probably better suited to a large bed.

        I am not sure what the pros and cons are of a bamboo bed but i seem to see bamboo beds mentioned a lot more these days. So its hard to know if its just a fad or some good reasoning behind it?
