  • Really like the case but no USB C

Although Amazon writes "mATX" in the style name, this is 100% an ATX case :)
S600 is a mid tower, so "mATX" and "mini tower" actually refers to S400.

  • Was looking at the S400/S600 recently but found little or no comment on how they handle HDD noise. The sound dampening present in the top part of the case appears absent in the bottom chamber. Seems you maybe get thin rubber washers on the 3.5" drive cage sleds.

  • Is it a hot box? I heard KFConsole got their idea from this

  • Would it support Support Noctua 15?

Yeah, you have about 1-2mm clearance (167mm). No problem!

      • Would severely limit the ram clearance though since the front fan doesn't have much room to be raised

Free postage makes this a very attractive deal, saving an additional $20-30 right there.

Why do so many cases have glass sides? Glass sides seemed cool in my 20s but now I just want a professional looking work PC.

      Boring.

I don't mind if it's a dark tint. With the lights off and mostly black components mine looks pretty subtle.

I didn't think I'd want a glass side until it came time to choose a case.

Set up on my desk, a solid sided case was going to look far too big, even in a smaller miniATX size case. Having a window reduces the sense of mass, even if it's peering into a little bit of space. It's like adding a mirror to make a room feel larger. I don't have RGB lighting or anything so it looks pretty subdued, possibly like a low key server.

But I was surprised when I discovered a world of tasteful windowed cases that aren't RGB carnival fun fair clowns on acid lighting.

But depending on your industry, some windowed cases can look interesting and still quite professional:
