While the price seems ok, the read an write speeds are of concern. If you do a search on staticice http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=8gb+transce… you'll see that the V10 is not the High Speed model which is the V35.
Having bought a Kingston 8GB 100 USB drive some time ago that writes at approximately 10MB/sec I can't recommend purchasing an 8GB unit that writes at 3MB/sec. You're going to be there for a long time. Corsair and Sandisk units cost more but write at 15-20MB/sec and in some cases more. Just be aware of the trade off in terms of price vs performance.
