satanic value indeed
not a huge fan of the taste of salmon
how do you feel about the flathead hoki barramundi portions 1kg for under $18?
Not going to insult you guys with the basa at $9!
Basa is good in a curry or fried with flour, its a bit light, barra is versatile, just feel weird using barra in dishes other than eating on its own
Which country is the salmon imported from?
The extremely deep, cold waters of the Norwegian fjords provide naturally
The skin-on version states Product of Norway.
I assume it's farmed, not wild caught.

I've seen basa farmed in Vietnam and surely nothing can be more toxic 🤢
@supacheap: True that, I'm Vietnamese and eating them for a long while. Now I'm dying. I probably will be dead in less than 100 years. Thanks for letting me know :(
@s50600822: With the genuine health risks involved, death could be a blessing ¯_(ツ)_/¯
You do you friend :)
wow thx for sharin'
Be careful how you ask that question. Quite often they write "Made in Denmark" and then hidden a little smaller "from imported ingredients", meaning it's still grown in Norway. Cheaper labour in Denmark, hence the processing happens there.
I too try to avoid Norwegian products. Different reasons, didn't know about 'toxic' salmon.
There's no good choices here or anywhere.
Any fish from Vietnam is going to be suspect.. largely CCP backed, you already know what intensive fish farming there is like.
And then Norway, you must have seen all the docos and whistleblower suppression.
Why do you avoid norwegian products?
see above post by xiangtan
long been known norway farmed salmon isnt good
but in this world, I like to turn off my disgust and enjoy my food
I have 'consulted' in chicken factories and meat packing plants and if i think about it I wouldnt eat chicken or beef again but I like both so I turn that part of my brain off.
How do we know that salmon farmed in Tasmania is not as bad as that farmed in Norway?
Seafood is fishy business.
Since these are Norwegian, are we meant to buy or NOT buy?
There might be a rushdie on these
