No one would refuse an extra three inches for only $100.

I bought my Hisense 40-inch in 2009, as a family Xmas gift, for $999 (w/3yr in-home/replacement warranty included, standard).

It's STILL going strong and is an excellent TV!

I'm currently using a 30" FHD monitor and wondered if anyone has tried one of these (or other brand/same specs) as a monitor? I honestly do not mind 1080 on a large monitor.

    Cheers

If only I could get those extra 3 inches ;)

"It's not the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean"

      ;)

  • I have had this TV for a little while now.

More than once I had to reset to factory settings because I couldn't get Netflix/Prime working due to no internet connection.

Just last week a number of FTA channels disappeared and I had to retune the TV to get them back.

Other than that, great TV for its price.

    • What’s the remote and menu like?

      • Well, compared to the Sony TV I have had for nine or 10 years, a lot easier to browse and use.

  • Might only be 3 inches but it smells like a foot…

Been happy with the 55" JVC for $495, (got 10% with zip)

Android TV runs great on it, very snappy and responsive

The EKO 65" is also back

    • Some better options out there that's for sure. This deal is only ok and the TV has issues.

  • CHOICE says this model has terrible sound - a mobile phone would sound better.

The 58S5 is the Hisense they like but it looks like it's discontinued too. Much superior to this in every way but energy consumption.
