    It's all relative. The train is also a ripoff and often barely worthwhile (compared to other options) if you have two or more travellers. How else are you going to get to the airport?

        Well taxi from my place to the airport costs $150 return. I often have to go interstate for the week. Parking here will save me $50 and help avoid the PITA of long term parking where they shuttle you to the airport as I am always running late :p Train isnt always an option thanks to unreliability and the hopeless interchange at Central where you have to lug your bags up and down stairs because the lift is broken down so often. Bargain for me!

      What i did was rent a car, picked it up from the city, dropped it off at the airport.
      No hassle with taxis, i could load up the car the night before.

      Guess it really is all relative…

      In Melbourne here for me taxi from my house to the airport is about $55 and taking shuttle + public transport is $19. If there is $99 parking here it would hardly be considered a bargain for me.

      Consider Taxi from my home to Airport one way already cost $110 and train for 4 person return cost over $160! this is a great and good for a week away!

  Depending on when your flight is I have got a taxi from the CBD which only cost a few more bucks than the train and got me there a good bit faster. Taxi's are not always a good option but they are simple and generally quicker if rush hour is avoided.

  They are doing $99 for a week at Brisbane Airport too.. but only at the international terminal, its still full price down at the domestic.
