First post, so please be nice.
Was after some RAM for my Comet Lake build and stumbled upon this. Seems like a very good price for the RAM.

I know how you feel. It was my first post and everyone made of it.
Was it because you a word?
opps, made fun of it….
cheaper than amazon at time of posting
Still waiting for a good deal on 3600 C16 32GB ram but haven’t been able to find much. Anyone had better luck?
Is there much difference in 3600 over 3200?
3600cl18, no just bandwidth. 3600cl16 yes huge difference, compared to 3200cl16
Huge difference is a stretch at least for gaming , there will be no visible difference , maybe 1-3%
@piston3461: in heavily CPU/memory limited games at lower resolutions it could be around 5%
@[Deactivated]: I too buy premium RAM to game at low resolutions. Its just like how 720p low detail is the best way to extract value from an expensive overclocked CPU.
@bender000: why am I getting hated on for saying this? I doubt anyone else has actually benchmarked the different types of ram? theres still a lot of people who play at 1080p 144-240fps
@[Deactivated]: Not for Intel which OP seems to be using but on Ryzen here are some benchies.
https://www.techspot.com/review/1891-ryzen-memory-performanc…
Ryzen has typically been more sensitive to memory than Intel.
Not true, as long as the case latency is not too loose faster mclk is still better, so 3600 c18 is better than 3200 c16
you forget most of ppl just fire and shoot xmp only. There will be the least difference between xmp profile.
Not for cpu intensive task, gaming maybe, i see no difference in Cinebench between 3200c16 vs 3800c16
cinebench is a CPU core test, it uses almost no ram hence why you see no difference.
@[Deactivated]: Ah that's why, shame already sold my 5800x and best 4 sticks ram, so I can't retest
Amazon UK Crucial Ballistix 2x16GB (32GB Kit) DDR4 3600MT/s CL16 $230 (now) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/592109
Everyone thinks this is out of stock but it's not. This is a great set rated at 3600 - CL16 and can pushed even higher.
https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/g.skill-trident-z-neo…
I feel like I'm paying extra for the RGB with those like if they exists surely there is a pair cheaper without RGB somewhere
Then get the G.skill ripjaws for $40 less.
Can anyone confirm if this is dual rank or not?
I bought this same RAM kit earlier during Black Friday and it was single rank.
you're 100% sure it's single rank?
Does that also mean if I were to get 2 of these kits (4 sticks) and put them in all 4 ram slots, I would be running in dual rank dual channel? 4 ranks on 4 slots?
My current kit is dual rank 16gbx2 and I want to upgrade to 64gb. So if I was to get another kit like that, it would be 8 ranks on 4 slots, which i've heard negatively impacts ryzen cpu's.
I'm still wrapping my head around this whole rank and channel thing
So 4 single rank or 2 dual rank is optimal i think, don't really understand how they work, but that's what people tell me
Yes I'm sure based off the serial number on the stick which indicated it was single rank based off this guide
https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHelper/blob/master/DDR4…
(search for Kingston Code).
What memory ic are they?
Definitely Micron ic. Thaiphoon burner reads it as Micron E-die.
@hl02: Nice that's pretty good then, I'll give this an upvote, e die overclock really welll
Crucial is owned by Micron.
I'm confused about the single vs dual rank.
So which is better in 2x16 or 4x16 configs?
If they're single rank, then 4x16GB would be slightly better in terms of performance due to rank interleaving. However, they may not clock as high as 2 sticks depending on your motherboard's RAM trace layout (daisy chain or T-topology).
Thanks man. That's a real shame though
It says its duel channel…is that the same thing you're talking about?
Nah talking about how the memory chips are arranged on the DIMM, whether on one side or both sides
RGB version of this kit still available here for an extra $39 with free shipping https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/kingston-hyperx-fury-…
Shows up as $189 for me… Is the special over?
Ah looks that way.
Is it possible to combine this with 2x 8 gig ram?
Thing is most people don't need 32GB, 16GB is what people want.
Sharp price for basic large cap ram
