How does this compare to the Vifio A119 V3?

  • Oh darn, i bought it for $89.99 2 weeks ago for a Christmas gift😭😭

I’ve had issues with my device where pressing the emergency save button doesn’t store the video file.

The G-sensor is too sensitive and saves video files even for small bumps on the road. Turning it off makes the videos record upside down.

    Otherwise an ok device.

In my experience, when I press the button the clip goes to some other folder which would be fine but my unit doesn't save the correct timestamps so I have to sift through a bunch of garbage before finding the actual clip. Kind of annoying and insurance companies will probably not like incorrect timestamps.

+1 for overly sensitive G sensor, my SD card became so full of 'emergency saves' that it actually affected the write speed of the card. Had to turn the sensor off and deal with upside down footage.

Would I buy again? Probably not

      • Wasn’t there supposed to be a firmware update for the time stamp issue? Perhaps I’m confusing it with another camera.

        • Oh maybe, I haven't done that in ages though

    • Mine occasionally stops recording and I end up not having a video when I review it. I already changed the SD card and the issue is still there. Sometimes I hear “corrupt xxx” which I think that’s when the recording stops. When I hear it I just replug the power, but still I’m no longer confident with it.

      • @inubaran, I had the same problem. When you read the manual it says you need a dashcam SD card so I purchased a 64GB Samsung Endurance Pro which fixed my "corrupt" error message. I think you get this message because it is not able to override the previously saved files which may only happen on the non dashcam compliant cards??

      • As eezii said, I had this issue too so bought a new dash specific card and it's good now.
Discovered when the most amazingly dodgy driving happened in front of me and I went to get the footage for YouTube to find there was none.

    • Just format the memory card monthly in the app to avoid this problem! If the memory card was full with these locked files, it will happen!

  • I use it with a powerbank to capture activity on the side of the car, good dashcam

  • thanks, grabbed another for the back
