Free app that does almost everything: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ses.app.ap…

It will back up system apps.

Maybe not quite as good, but free.

I use it to back up my apps, and to side-load them on an old tablet that doesn't have Google Play. Also lets me re-install apps that no longer exist on Google Play, when I get a new phone. Also, newer versions of apps often have ads, when the older versions didn't, so I can continue to install the ad-free version.

      Thanks for that tip.

I personally use Titanium Backup Pro [TiBu].
I paid for it, many years ago and it's been fantastic to me.

However, lately I've had some small problems with TiBu,
so I use the free, open-source and great backup manager
      —> oandbackup - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/dk.jens.backup/

Both 'Titanium Backup' and 'oandbackup' are updated more recently than 'APK Export'.
