  Heads up on nier. My experience with the pc port is horrible and there’s no support other than telling you to replay the game all over again if your save is corrupted (which you might not know until late into the game of the first ending)

  Would be nice if I could refund but the game breaking bug is only discovered past 40th hour for me.

    Played neir automata on pc and didnt have that issue. I used the FAR mod and even without, I got 50fps with a hd 7970. Some frame drops and 30fps for cutscenes were choppy, but not unplayable.

    Overall, an amazing game and definitely in my top 3. Top notch music and storytelling. Cried at the End.

    Undertale is also a great game if you can play it blind.

      i dont recall that the FAR mod was available when i played. i heard about it only after i got frustrated with their support and stopped altogether.

      FPS has never been an issue for me, iirc i was already using a 1080. it was the save corruption that done me in. I wasn't able to progress to the next 're-run'. so the only choice was to replay and hope it doesnt corrupt again. No way I'm wasting that much time.

      a pity really. i really like the game, when it works.

  Can highly recommend NieR:Automata, being easily my favourite game I played this year. However, like slowmo had said the PC port isn't great. Didn't have any save issues myself though. The mod community has certainly improved things and once I had everything sorted, it played great for me.

    Did you play it to the End? Oh man. What a game. Weight of the world in the End got me crying.

    The UI, the hacking transitions were so sleek. Been months since I finished it and I am still constantly thinking about the music and the story

      Yes, got all the primary endings, having a blast while doing so. You mentioned in your other post about 30FPS videos. I used this mod to replace them with 60FPS ones. Also, see this post about the FPS being choppy. Might not work for everyone but certainly fixed it for me.

        Thanks! Will give it a go when I play it again in a few years. Hopefully I will have a better GC by then and my memory isn't that great by then

  Note that Friday the 13th removed all dedicated servers so you have to host your own games to play with friends or cross your fingers and hope you can find an online game and if you manage to, that the host has a fast connection.
