First deal, hope its useful.

I've been watching this particular model as its previously come highly recommended on Ozbargain, versus Ring.

Just been reduced as part of Amazon Boxing day sales, (5 cent off its lowest price ever!)

Nice discount, approx 20% off recent price of $329, since I set a camelcamelcamel alert for it.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.
This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2020

I've got this and it works perfectly on my front door.
    Well worth it

Anyone have this working with Apple Homekit yet?

    • Nope

  • So if I already have other eufy with home base, can I combine them to all go to one Homebase? But then I spend money for a Homebase that I won't use? How weird

Just wish this thing came with a display. By the time I get my phone, open the app the person is probably gone. Or it's just faster for me to get up and walk out there, which 9 out of 10 times I'd need to do anyway

Yeah practicality with all these in the two way video is generally not as useful as you think couriers don't generally wait that long. Usually i just get out there. The Alexa integration with the doorbell sound, phone and base though is brill.

      • Curious, what's useful about the integration?

  • This or ring, which one is better and low cost for long term rub? Thanks.

bought this in the last sale and love it. It records as soon as it detects human motion (slight lag) so you can play back and see who was at your door. I got one for my parents and they are getting the hang of it. The lag is annoying but I mainly like this for the recording function for some added security.

      This one.
You need to pay a subscription fee for storage in the Ring one.

      • Thank you

    Back to $329 now.

Prefer to have a Camera setup with Notification.

I posted this deal almost exactly 6 months ago, so I'll leave my 2c if it helps anyone.

If you don't want to pay on-going fees, don't want to have a wired install, don't need it to show video on a smart display when someone rings -> Get Eufy

If you have the Amazon Echo ecosystem and don't mind ongoing fees, but want video (would need echo displays) when doorbell is triggered -> Get newer Ring model

If you have the Google Nest ecosystem and don't mind ongoing fees, don't mind having to hard-wire install the bell, but want video (would need nest displays) when doorbell is triggered -> Get nest doorbell

Eufy would be perfect if they just integrated video on ring/motion to your smart display and had slightly faster motion detection, both which could just be solved with software updates which they aren't doing for some reason.

Take Eufy Security Camera's, this is a brand name that's stuck on a Chinese made camera and owned by a leading Chinese Company. … The brand is 100% owned by a Chinese Company called Anker Innovations

I'm not sure that being Chinese owned is a valid basis for a neg.
If it was half the deals on here would qualify.

I would recommend D-link(from Taiwan) home security camera instead of some other Chinese brand cameras.

We don't want to be spied.

"Security issues with popular cameras on Amazon To investigate the issue, we bought four wireless security cameras from Amazon. These cameras were easy to find on the Amazon bestseller list, promoted with Amazon’s Choice logos, and contained hundreds of positive reviews. All were from brands that are little known outside online marketplaces and based in Shenzhen, China, including Vstarcam, ieGeek, Sricam and SV3C, Our lab partner, Context Information Security, tested the cameras and found critical issues with all of them. Risks range from your private data being exposed, to a hacker being able to gain complete control of the camera and potentially seeing into your home.

For those that missed out… Bunnings is price matching. Special order , but better than missing out like I did because I didn't act fast enough.

  • If you don’t want the homebase I.e- you have no other eufy devices, then may i suggest this model E8220CW1 at JB for $199. I bought it as it was cheaper than the add on with another home base. My adaptor acts as a repeater to the home base and all you need is to download the eufy app!
