        Don't anti viruses flag anything that requires or requests more access than it's comfortable with as a potential threat?

        Not sure if it necessarily means it is one.

  I can't speak from personal experience but would be hesitant to try this. Google => can't find a review on any reputable sites. If you have a problem Google it to find a solution. If you don't have a problem why install this?? There are plenty of good, free antivirus / anti-malware programs around without risking this. Their blurb says "Compatible with all known antiviral software" - if that's correct is shouldn't get quarantined. @Chocobros - can you upload the file to VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/)??
