  • While I'm glad to see there's apparently still the odd 3D Blu Ray,

I'm sad to remember you need a 3D TV and my old one's been in the kiddo's room for years now.

  • I still have a Samsung 3D tv but of course the 3D glasses batteries wont have been updated for the past 3 yrs !! Bought one anyway thks OP this is a great movie 3D or not :)

Great movie but not sure wouldn’t want to watch more then 1 or 2 times

  • It would be good if this could be watched on the Quest2 easily

  • 3D Blu-Ray? Are personal 3D TVs even still a thing?

    • Not since 2016, sadly. Although new 3D projectors are still being made.

  • It's interesting that the demise of 3d happened at the beginning of covid, so we haven't really felt it yet. It's going to be frustrating when the next batch of big franchise action movies come out and 3d is not an option, whether it's marvel, star wars or whatever. Maybe James Cameron will revive it and release a 3d bluray for the next avatar film, I heard he is pissed with the industry

    • I found it hard enough to find a 3D session even a while ago. I booked 3D The Lion King having heard positive reviews for it (in 3D at least) and the cinema cancelled the screening.

I'm uncertain whether it actually improved the experience or not but am disappointed we don't have the choice. Although, I'd be perfectly content with 2D and at least some films being released right now.

‘At the beginning of COVID’? Please, the demise of 3D started 4 years ago when all manufacturers stopped making 3D TVs back in 2016.

      • I was talking about the content/blurays themselves, I don't consider TV manufacturers part of the movie industry

    • One of the event cinemas here in Perth is showing the new Wonder Women movie in 3d although only 1 session each day so not completely dead yet.
