Out shopping for the nephews and came across a swathe of playstation games at $12
Almost had to buy a PS4 myself!

  dammit. I'm a collector, and I don't want the "playstation hits" crap on top of the box, just the normal version. But the normal version can be hard to find

    Not recommending you buy pre-owned, but that's one way to get the pre-PS Hits covers. Thing is, you are paying $9-$12 for second hand copies…

    Also, quite of few of those titles are either on PS Plus Collection or previously offered free (Uncharted - ND collection and Uncharted 4).

      I'll gladly pay even more for pre-owned good condition (off eBay) to keep my collection red bar free. Also he's a collector, so he wants a physical copy and likely doesn't care about PS Plus (which you don't own the games, just renting).

    The only one I'm missing without the playstation hits cover on it is Last of Us remastered which I did have but then a mate stole it. So now I just have the red one sadly.

  It's a shame a new PS4 is still quite pricey.

  I know there's the option of buying second hand, but who knows what they've been through…

      Well you'd think, but PS5 stock issues haven't helped with that. I could imagine many people ended up buying a PS4 for Christmas instead of a PS5.

  I got caught out with God of War. Now I have re-gift my physical copy.

    isnt the disk version the only way to play 4k60fps instead of digital 1080p60fps?

      If someone hasn't played it or finished playing it once, then sure that's worth considering. However, for those who have played it, you lose new game plus feature by running the first disc version.

    Those WERE on PS Plus. And God of War 3, not the new Norse God of War.
    All of these games are available at no extra costs to people with a PS5 and a Plus subscription though. But it's really hard to get a PS5 so they are still great to get on the PS4. At least they are for $12 each.

  tried to price match horizon with ebgames, but they said they have a brand new copy, but not sealed. Why a brand new copy is not sealed?
