  • Does any GG have iPhone stock though?

  • I want to get an iPad Pro. Can I use this to get one? Or should I use JB $300 plan, considering JB has 10% JB gift card discount? GG $400 plan doesnt seems to work. Thx.

Unless you are after the big data plan, this is not a good deal.

    This offer

You have to pay $99 for 12 months to get a discount on $800 on your iPhone.

    • iPhone pro max 256 GB - $2019
    • Telstra cost - $99/month - $1188 per year
    • Discount - $800
    • Net price - $2407 over 1 year
    • Included data - 150 gb/month
    • International calls - Not included
    Without this offer
    • iPhone pro max 256 GB - $2019 (maximum price. If you buy from places such as costco, the price is $1950)
    • Telstra prepaid - $30/month - $360 per year
    • Net price - $2379 over 1 year (based on maximum price)
    • Included data - 25 gb/month
    • International calls - 300 minutes to 20countries
    • 25GB will be running out in 1 day when 5G starts rolling…

      • 5G is rolled out in several areas I've been too since purchasing a compatible phone. According to my speed tests 25GB will take around a minute to download…

      • Yes. 25GB is low for 5G capabilities. It will take a few years before the upstream capabilities can utilise the 5G speeds at its best.

As I mentioned, purchase for the right reasons. For a lot of us who is working from home, the home internet will give the necessary speed and data capacity. And international calls are included in prepaid.

    • You've chosen the most expensive phone though. If someone wants the non-pro then this is a cracking deal.

      • The other way of looking at it is that you are practically paying $388 over 12 months or $268 if you can get $10 extra off the $99/month plan. You are essentially buying the phone at full price so the rear question is this: can you get the same plan cheaper elsewhere?

        • what is the calculation here? curious.

      • Okay. Let us do the maths again.

        This offer

You have to pay $99 for 12 months to get a discount on $800 on your iPhone.

        iPhone mini 64GB - $1199
        Telstra cost - $99/month - $1188 per year
        Discount - $800
        Net price - $1587 over 1 year
        Included data - 150 gb/month
        International calls - Not included

        Without this offer

iPhone mini 64GB - $1199 (maximum price. If you buy from places such as costco, the price is $1159)
        Telstra prepaid - $30/month - $360 per year
Net price - $1559 over 1 year (based on maximum price)
        Included data - 25 gb/month
        International calls - 300 minutes to 20countries

The only reason for taking this offer is if the person needs 150GB per month instead of international calls.

    • Remember, for many people the 150G plan on 5G / 4GX mean they no longer need a NBN. That is extra $70 a month saving yo should add to your calculation.

I know to many people living without NBN is unthink of, but for those of us who did (like me), I would not trade the convivence for anything else.

  • Where to buy this..
Form Telstra or good guys or jbhifi?
Can we get a phone insurance as well?
What's your recommendation over a phone insurance

  • Where does it say about a $500 gift card

  • +3

I would of considered it. However, I'm only paying $12.50 per month on Boost (I'm on the old $150/80GB Unlimited Calls and text cap), which I refuse to leave. 80GB of data per year is more than sufficient for me.

  • Still $200 expensive according to the $59 12 months deal with $500 gift card.
If you know how to calculate.

    • +1

Do we have $59 deal atm tho?

  • +2

Hey guys just a tip officeworks have the iPhone 12 128gb for $1399 so I just did I price match at the good guys so 30 bucks less.

  • I still like the 59 500 deal

  • FYI, i was lazy with all the customers at JB, so i went TGG, and the iphone is still on back order!!
This is an iphone 12 pro, go JB!!!!

    • So it's not in stock at any TGG stores? Could you have ordered on back order or won't they take your order?

      • they back order, but its been 1 month +
Where by when i check jb there stocks come quicker! just a thought.

  • I think the best way to work this offer out is if you imagine you pay $x a month on phone bills and you absolutely need X data a month then imagine buying the iPhone outright like you wanted it.

    So say $40 a month then $1429 for the 128gb iPhone 12

    Makes it

    $480 (12month of phone bills) + $1429 = $1909

    Versus this deal

    $1068 (12month of phone bills) + ($1429-$800 top up) = $1697

    What’s the benefit?

    • If you used discounted gift cards to pay for the difference you’d save another $30
    • You save about $200 overall
    • You get a shit ton of data on supposedly the better network of them all.
    • You essentially get to pay for the phone over the course of 12 months - which is the main benefit.
  • Anyone who grabbed this deal and cancelled can confirm if they had to pay Voucher Reimbursement Fees apart from ETC of $594 ?

    • +1

I cancelled JB Telstra deals a couple of times, and never paid any voucher reimbursement fee..

      • thanks .. there is quiet a confusion in this post about voucher reimbursement fees, though I cant find anything in T&Cs
