  • how does one get commercial memebrship ?

Invest in a Unifi system instead, not this "gaming" bullshit.

Not really bullshit, if you want to get into technicalities etc sure, compare a semi business grade product that costs much more to a consumer grade product….

UDM is great, but if you want to actually "Invest", you wouldn't get an all in one product. And then it gets very expensive.

I never mentioned UDM. Nor will I ever mention the UDM. I'm talking USG, AP and a switch. Maybe a Cloud Key too if you're so inclined.

        • Yes, and like I said, that will be significantly more expensive. I assumed UDM as it's the only thing that compares price wise.
You would need to compare unifi WAP nano wifi 6 model, EdgeRouter x, cloud key, installation, cabling, pi-hole.

      • It makes more sense to split devices anyway. Very rarely will you need to upgrade your router at the same time as your wifi. Plus it gives you infinitely better deployment options. eg. Router wherever the hell you want, WiFi in the best possible location.

Saying that though, if you NEED WIFI6 today, you won't find any Unifi stock in AU, and the price is about the same as this device..

        • Yep, and if you just want an all in one router without heavy config/setup, then realistically the consumer devices will always be the better pick.

          I have Unifi setup btw.

      • Got off the home router roundabout upgrade cycle years ago and went with Unifi. Don't regret it.

I'm sure most people end up replacing these $300+ routers every 2 years or so as they a)stop working, b)havent had a firmware update in years, c)upgraded to a shiny new one with better performance/range/support.

        • So these UDM last forever or?

    • Agreed, at this price you can get the UDM…

  • dongknows?

  • Does this help when my nbn is 50/20 and i download warzone updates at 5mb/s?

    • You might be getting your big B and little b confused? Most downloads show up as MB/s, but internet speeds are advertised as mb/s.

      • If you're going to correct someone at least make sure your correction is right.

Internet speeds are advertised in Mb/s, not mb/s.

Of course, I might have meant millibit! The imaginary unit..
          /sarcasm

            @ryang: There's correct, then there's technically correct.

    • You are getting your max speed. Upgrade NBN speed if you want faster.
