I’ve never played a Borderlands game before, would you recommend starting with this Borderlands GOTY edition or Borderlands 4? Both are the same price.
If you can get your hand on Borderlands 4 please send me a copy!
But otherwise starting with Borderlands GOTY is definitely a good decision. You will have so much fun and get immense value for your money.

Oops! I meant Borderlands 3. I’ll definitely have to pick up this GOTY edition. The graphics seem to be very good considering it’s age.
Borderlands 2 is regarded as the best of the bunch. Try play 2 before you play 3.
I personally skipped 1 and went straight to 2, but I've heard 1 is pretty good. All the games have a progressive story, so best to play in order.
I'd personally suggest playing 2 first.
Plot of 1 is pretty barebones, and both the gameplay and writing in BL2 is so much better than the first game.
Would you suggest buying the Borderlands Legendary Collection? It comes with the Borderlands GOTY, Borderlands 2 and The Pre Sequel for $36.
Honestly not up to date with the pricing since I already own all 3.
That sounds fairly reasonable though, if you think you will enjoy the games.

@jallen89: I love the series. Definitely one of my favourites. The prices for the Collection on the PS Store is the all time lowest price on the store so a good time to buy.

I picked up borderlands 3 from ebgames for $10 and wouldn't pay much more than that for it tbh. Story is horrendous.
Looks and plays great on ps5 in 4k.
