Can I ask what issue this cause? I am about to buy it.
Crashing or other weird behaviour potentially, its only a possibility though must not happen to everyone otherwise they wouldn't sell. Plus as I mentioned if it does cause issues Amazon will take it back and their returns are easy as.
Would the issue immediately appearing? Or it will first be ok and come out suddenly?
@SnoozeAndLose: I think it depends on the brand of your dashcam, so should do a google search first to see if there are widespread issues. I've been using this one in my Viofo A129 Duo for a few months with no issues so far (touch wood).
@chcse: Ditto; same cam, same card, no issues.
Most mass market cards are not designed for dash cam use. Not sure what type NAND type this one is, but if it's an SLC type then that would be ok
Most mass market "high endurance" cards, are indeed designed for just that use.
Been using it with blackvue 750s without issues for about 10 months. Had to format it in PC first though.
This guy's been testing SD cards for a few years, worth a look:
https://carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-microsd-cards-fo…
When it's hot like 40 degrees, my dashcam always restarting as it's getting too hot. I wonder if it's the video card not coping or the dashcam itself
Most likely the dash cam. I’ve replaced an older Viofo 118c that keeps restarting. Mind you it lasted 4-5 years.
Awesome timing. Needed two for Eufy Pan Tilt cameras! Thanks OP!
what does high endurance mean?
Means it's made to be written to many many more times than a regular card. Also can withstand higher environmental stress (vibration, heat etc).
Thanks
Supports more write cycles
Edit: what they said
Thanks
Grabbed a couple
I wish I saw this before, because
I literally bought 2 x of these same cards
from eBay.AU the day before( and it was for a Viofo 129 Duo too ! )
Yeah I bought one for $29 on Amazon back in Nov, knowing that I had the Viofo 129 Duo on my black Friday shopping list lol.
Works well so far in the 129 Duo, though I haven't wired in the back camera yet.i'm getting my Viofo A129+ Duo installed next week.
so, i was just buying the 2 x 128GB Sandisk Endurance cards last week,
in preparation for the new dashcam (during this holiday season).the thing is, it was literally 12+ hours later, when this deal got posted on OzB.
i paid about AU$ 32 each and this deal was for AU$ 28 each. So, i could have saved AU$ 8 (with FREE shipping)
Back on special again right now
Apparently these cards can cause issues in dashcams, but I'm willing to take my chances seeing how much cheaper they are than Samsung Endurance cards. Plus if they do cause issues we at least have Amazon to just send it back to.
