Yahtzee Classic, Monopoly and 11 Other Hasbro Board Games $1.00 Each (Were $9.99 Each) @ QBD Books

1130

The image is of an older version of Yahtzee Classic (not the "sharp, high-roller look with casino-cool dice and a sleek shaker"). It's 20c per die or 0.95c cents per spot (with a free cup and score pad). Bargain! It says it's in stock at my local store for click and collect, otherwise $5.95 postage. YMMV for stock levels on each of the games.

  • No Stock near me for C&C

  • They seem to be 15x15cm travel style games

Twister in the car on the way to your holiday destination sounds fun.

  • How did you find these? They don't even appear in the search

I was searching for Yahtzee to buy online and in the Google Shopping tab, it said $20 Kmart, $18 Amazon, $20 Big W and $1 QBD. I Googled a bit more and the MyShopping page for QBD when sorted by price had heaps of games for $1.

      • I've not seen myshopping before - thanks. I was searching for Yahtzee a couple months ago, settled on a replacement scoresheet pack for a few dollars and a pack of dice! About $6 all up.

        • Yeah it's highway robbery for it to be $20 at Big K and Wmart when it's literally just 5d6, a plastic cup (which you don't need if you can hold 5 dice in your hand, otherwise I'm guessing almost everyone owns a cup to drink from) and a score sheet pad that you can download and print for free anyway.

@bargainhunter: A pen? You big spender! I write my scores in the dirt with my finger (but only in the weeks of the year we can afford dirt).

@blamesociety: May Santa bring you a lump of dirt this year.

@blamesociety: You think that's bad? I used to have to travel 2 and a half miles each way to the nearest pile of soft dirt so I could fill my holey pockets which would be 3/4 empty by the time I got back, five times over before I had enough dirt to keep score.

Wow their checkout is a mess lol.
Have to individually click and collect, sends me to PayPal to pay and then tells me to finalise the 0 items left in my cart 😂

Edit: PayPal got charged but no confirmation lmao. Tried again with another game and got a confirmation screen, I'll see if there's 1 or 2 games waiting I guess

    Thanks OP!

Looks like the Hasbro Minis from some newspaper promo way back. They're mostly cut down versions. Some work better than others.

    • Same list except Trivial Pursuit is still $4.99 apparently. Confirms they are the smaller travel version and the store rep said they are not the newspaper promo ones but someone else said the ISBNs match the newspaper version. Still worth a try for a buck.

      • They are 100% the newspaper ones

  • Hardly any stock left

FYI: to save people some time, as of 3:25pm AEDT only ones with stock available online are Yahtzee, Boggle, Chutes and Ladders, and Twister.

    • Cluedo still available at my store

Ordered 5 games for click&collect.. will see what happens….

  • Same ordered 5 games for Christmas break

  • I don’t know how to change to click and collect on their website.

    • If C&C is available in your chosen store then there will be a button saying "click and collect"…. click on that and make the purchase of that item straight away. Do not add to basket etc. I made 5 separate C&C purchases to get 5 games…

Ohh! Thank you. I’ll try it now.
I was looking in the cart.

  • Confirmed order today for click and collect

  • Picked up Twisters, Chutes and Ladders. $1 is about right.

  • My store had 1 of the 5 that I ordered when I went to pick them up yesterday. The other one they gave me was twister instead of boggle.

I received an email cancelling the order, refunded me the cost but did not refund the shipping.

I order 4 for a total of $9.95 including shipping.

They emailed me yesterday cancelling 3 but shipping the other with the full shipping cost.

No way I wanted to pay $6.95 for 1 game

    • Yeah that's ridiculous. At the very least they could've done like what Footlocker does with theirs, and split the shipping cost by value of the items, so if items got cancelled then you only have to pay the percentage of the postage pertaining to the value of that item only. Not ideal but better than this still.

    • If paid with PayPal then lodge a dispute and demand a partial refund.

  • Just received an email cancelling my order as all 3 games were out of stock. Pretty poor form.

  • received a paypal refund, no cancellation email.

  • Every order got cancelled… Between friends and family around 8 or so.

  • Got 4, they’re like travel size games. Not the proper board games. Eye yay we had mini dice and a flat pack paper cup, and the worlds tiniest score cards. Yep, got what I paid for. What a bummer

  • Logged in to check and all 4 cancelled. No email and no refund. Lucky it was only $4 but I’m disappointed im not getting them.
