You know a phone is obscure when it was released 7 months ago, has never been posted on Ozbargain and is already marked as a Officeworks clearance product the time it gets posted

And even at half price with free headphones I could not recommend TCL phones. Absolute piles of junk.
Constant freezing. Apps not opening. Phone not unlocking. And that's with the data on the phone only 1/4 full.
I got the TCL Plex too, but I find it not that bad. There are glitches at times and may require a restart to fix things, but it's still okay considering the price.
I also have TCL Plex, I never have freezing problem or apps not opening.
The only problem was the latest update slow down the WiFi 5Ghz connection speed.
Just sent the Plex off to get repaired. Faulty charging port. No issue with the service of either JB or the repairer. Rang me and asked if a different colour was ok. Waiting for Australia Post now.
Was my wife's phone and other than occasional issue needing a restart it has been really good value.
Got the Plex for a couple months. I thought I opened too many apps and got the freeze, now I think about it, when my previous phone when running out of ram, it would reload, not freeze.

My previous phone when my last "share" was a copy of the link, that would be the new shortcut in the menu, when I switched to Plex, Android10, the shortcut can be whatever recent apps but not a direct copy of the link.
The phone was great before the update to Android 10. I would blame the android 10 due to this. Nothing major, it usually just needs a restart (such as camera / WiFi 5G stop working). After the restart, it runs fine.
I'd like to give TCL the benefit of doubt here, but even Xiaomi makes a more compelling buy. I would just get a Moto if I was looking for a cheap budget Android
Did exactly that for my sister the other day, went with A52. What a great phone and at under $215 at JB with discounted Him/Her cards a no brainer.
Rather get a moto g9 for not much more.

I've had a Plex for almost 10 months and had zero issues. Very stock like Android experience. Lots of updates along the way Besides the original case that failed miserably and the now cracked screen, I really enjoy using. Just got a pixel 5 and obviously better but not by much for everyday use. Camera aside.

I bought three of my kids an A52 each in September and they've been faultless. Kids love them and the huge batteries are great too.
Any big difference with 4GB vs 6GB ram?
Got one from Officeworks Southport-for $267, a great phone!
Can't compete with the likes of Redmi 9 pro and Poco. Even the Motorola G9 is better.
