This promo is to celebrate Android Market reaching 10 Billion of Downloads! All for just 10 cents each!

Remember to not purchase all the apps at one go. Keep at least a few minutes between each purchase to avoid having them pending / cancelled. If you are having such problem, just click refund in the Market app and purchase again!

        I only tried one piece of music (a classical piece) and SoundHound found it, Shazam could not.

        For 10 cents each, I'd say get both, see which interface you prefer (personally, I like SoundHound) and just use that. If it ever fails you, try the other.

        The game is purely sandbox currently. But the developers are aiming to bring the survival aspects of it to mobile platform in the near future. So just sit tight with your copy!

    I must say that I bought the majority of the apps from the first few days… but these last 2 days have been pretty crap.

    Just goes to show that having a berzillion apps in your market does not necessarily make it the best mobile OS app store.

      I'm only purchasing 1-2 apps a day which is fine by me as most of the utility/childrens/screensaver/theme apps don't interest me. Then I have to narrow down what is a rerun or new, app compatibility and then I judge if the app is "worth it" to buy.

      Yeah grabbed them, and blow up might be a bit of fun. 10c isn't too much of a risk.
      EDIT: Now bought 33 apps, only $3.30.
      Haven't tested em all on my SGS2, but the 10 I have all work great.

        lol, same here, bought at least 30 something for my SGS2 though I'm sure they work as I buy through the browser store which shows me whether they work on my phone and Xoom before I buy them.

    I found you can get these apps free on getjar.
    wish i found them before i bought them, would've saved me 50cents!

      Comments for the app say that DRM only needs internet to run once - the first time you play then you are free to use it offline.

    Anyone else have to re-enter their Credit Card details into Google Checkout only to be re-charged another $2 for them to "verify" your credit card? I purchased my first apps on the 8/12/11 and the $2 transaction to verify my credit card is still in my pending list. Today I purchased an app just fine, and on the second app purchase my credit card was declined. I tried a few times and had to remove and re-add my credit card. In doing so I've gotten another $2 transaction fee.

    While the original $2 transaction fee is still pending, most of the app purchases are off the pending list and the payments have obviously gone through. So it is very annoying to me that I have to re-enter my credit card, get charged another $2 verification when the first one hasn't yet been refunded.

      It's been mentioned earlier but here it is again.

      The $2 is like you say to verify the card, but I think its just an auth request (checking that the amount could be charged to the card) and won't go from pending to complete.

      If you purchase apps too quickly in succession, they will likely be declined. You need to wait a couple of minutes between purchases.

      You don't need to remove your card, just add the same card details again and it will update the existing one which worked in my case, except where I had 3 titles pending payment and it automatically tried to process all 3 again and 1 was declined again. Waited a little and updated card again and it went through. As the $2 charges remain pending wasn't a big deal for me to have a few on there. I guess each CC comany may vary in how they process it though.

        Well if it happens again that's atleast something for me to try. I don't think I had tried to purchase the second app too quickly though. Didn't seem any quicker then usual to me atleast. The weird thing was that upon looking at google wallet/checkout it said my credit card had been declined which is why I removed and re-added it. I was expecting it to come up as declined again upon re-adding it since it was the exact same card

        I doubt I'll buy many/any apps after the 10c sale ends anyway. The apps I have bought are mostly Live Wallpapers or crappy games I will probably never play. Mostly just to add a bit more variety to what I already had on my tablet since I had only just gotten it. The free apps and games are pretty good and cover most needs. :-)

    Soundhound recognised Galaxy - Jessica Mauboy (feat. Stan Walker) but Shazam didn't.
    But running back both didn't pick it up.

      I find that having both covers most songs. I prefer soundhound due to user submitted tunes, so its more accurate when matching humming you send through, and also remixes. But that's just from what I used it for.

      I got both for 10c anyways :D

    Got the instant heart rate monitor just for kicks. Really surprised, uses your camera to get your heart rate and it actually works. nice 5 seconds of entertainment for 10c

      Na, most international weather apps like this would use either AccuWeather or Google Weather. Both accurate if you don't care about a 1 degree temperature inaccuracy.
