On sale is this upgradeable Mini PC packed with features that makes it an excellent AMD equivalent to an Intel NUC. The dual channel RAM slots, M.2 NVMe SSD slot, 2.5" SATA slot and M.2 WiFi 6 module can be upgraded. Priority shipping has also been made free for all AU orders.

There are plenty of reviews on YouTube including LinusTechTips, TechTablets and even a fellow OzBargainer. The DMAF5 in this deal is the final release version, as reviewers received the pre-release version without an M.2 NVMe slot and yellow USB charging port.

Features include Windows 10 Pro, AMD Ryzen 5 3550H CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB M.2 NVMe SSD with heatsink, 4K@60Hz via HDMI, Display Port or USB-C, dual gigabit ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and VESA mounting. Full specifications can be found below.

  • Intel NIC or Realtek NIC?

      Realtek.

Even last gen Ryzen blows Intel away.

  • +1

    Eh, last gen Ryzen.

Wonder if one can buy a Ryzen 4xxx series and put that in here. Or if they will support 5000 series when they come out

    • +1

When the 5xxx mobile CPUs are out they'll do 4xxx. That's the reason why they're a gen behind, they're cheap.

If you want a Ryzen 4000 mini pc try the Asus PN50

  • Does the displayPort work on ultrawide mi monitor at 144Hz?

  • Ill update you on the performance when and if it arrives. I ordered in August 2nd sent November 5th but still yet to arrive. The company don't appear particularly motivated to help. May have lost my money. Beware!

    • I'm certainly motivated to help. What's your order number?

      • +1

IG 978… The big lesson I learned is NEVER ever use a company that delivers with Aramex or fastway.

        • Your order number is IG978? That's not a GeekBuying order number. Are you sure you've got the right company?

          Aramex/Fastway isn't used by Geek.

          • @Clear: I ordered direct from Minisforum, sorry for confusion. had I known I would have bought from you. Glad you are using a proper courier!

            • @discociti: They were only stocked late November here. A couple of years ago Auspost partnered with Chinese carriers to offer subsidised cheap shipping, so the China to AU leg is handled by a courier called UBI and Auspost take over once it's in AU. Typically the order takes 1-2 weeks to arrive.

I think ordering direct from Minisforum was through their Indiegogo campaign? Would likely explain the delays as they'd be sending a huge number.

              • @Clear: Fascinating yes. Auspost are way more reliable. Frankly it worries me that minisforum are up to the customer service task. The products look ideal. With fastway they lost one in Sydney, and appear to be in the process of losing another. When I went to the depot ( a three hour round trip) they told me that the drivers dont like driving to particular regions. While I was there there were people pulling up in all sorts of vehicles and literally spilling contents onto the floor and leaving. Nobody processing them and no security - no wonder packages get lost!
