  • FYI- not any cheaper on Canadian store.

Yes they are. $4.25 CAD is ~$4.48AUD if you use a card with no international transaction fees, and $11.99CAD is ~$12.63 AUD.

What I meant is that it’s barely worth it

  • ooof!…I got giddy just watching the 2D trailer of End Space, I can't imagine what the VR version would be like. I've got a friend with a Rift, he'll like these. Thanks OP!

Rift version is great price for anyone that just got Quest as it's cross buy full price on Quest store for some reason. Rift version works with my HOTAS too (Thrustmaster 4)

  • Maybe a silly question. I have a Quest 2. If I buy these, because they're for the Rift, I won't be able to run them? The Quest version of End Space still seems to be $22.99

      You should be able to.

      https://www.oculus.com/blog/play-rift-content-on-quest-with-…

But it should also work straight up as I read that you directly download the game for the Quest as well.

      Here is what it said:

Once bought, search the quest store for the game and it will be free

They are cross buy, meaning if you buy the rift one you get the quest one for free

https://vrdb.app/quest/index_au.html is a website i like for filtering if they are cross-buy or not

Not every app is cross buy so you should always check first

      • The Oculus store used to show you if they were Cross Buy but for the life of me I can't see that anymore, even checking titles I bought before on Rift just to get the Oculus version cheap. As such that link is quite useful!

        • It says it in the section under the price. It'll say 'Supports' followed by the platforms it's playable on.

  • Just make sure to check platforms - if cross buy the platforms will be listed in both.

This didn’t come up on sale on the Quest filter… is it just me or the rift pricing is different?

    • always check the rift store if the game is a cross buy, there's often discount only on the rift store but not the quest store eventhough you get both since they are cross buy games… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhNU1RDvI7w

  • great find mate

  • Seeing conflicting things about crossbuy. Oculus android app seems to say that it's crossbuy (says supports Rift, Rift S, Quest), but the Rift page on Oculus site just says supports Rift and Rift S.

    Can anyone confirm?

    • As I mentioned above the store doesn't seem to show anymore, games I bought before which specifically listed Quest on the Rift sales page now don't. The link Toniyellow posted still mentioned them though. Perhaps Oculus don't want to make it too each to find the cheaper Rift versions, or perhaps Cross Buy is going away…

    • I can confirm…purchased both titles on the web (through clicks above) then in my Quest 2 searched for the titles in the store and clicked "Get App". They then downloaded.

Bizzare fact (which I just noticed wippy also made), if you search for "Path of Warrior" in the quest app store it comes up as $31…but buying it through the rift store it is only $14.99….thats pretty sneaky of facebook (what do you expect from the evil empire). Going to have to check all furture quest purchases for cross buy in the rift store 1st in the future as Rift seems to get the discounts over Quest.

Done that for ages, bought most of my things for the Quest as Rift Cross Buy and on the Canadian store for those extra few $$$ saved.

      • +1

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on this page which does a good job of keeping track of what's on sale and what's cheaper to crossbuy, just wasn't totally sure whether the Oculus Site or Oculus App was the source of truth. Glad you've found out for me. :)

        • Thankyou that is a very useful site.

    • Are you guys that aren't seeing it not logged in? It says Quest for me after logging in.

      • Haha yep, signing in has fixed it. Didn't realise U wasn't signed in on mobile. Cheers for that.

    Plus 1 for Oculus post.

Hopefully more discounts to come. Haven't purchased anything outside of Beat Saber and Virtual Desktop.

    • I stacked a few years of this earlier in the year:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/531163

Several people didnt rate it at the time but for the price then Ive had a lot of use out of it with 48 games played, several quite a lot. For some reason they even since gave me keep forever versions of L.A. Noire and Walking Dead. Just downloading Space Channel 5 VR now, not played that since Dreamcast days.

If it ever goes to $36 a year again Id buy more years.

      • You could stack this? Looks like first year only.

        • Yes it was stackable as long as you cancelled it allowed you to add another year, I stacked to April 2022.

      • Thanks, never heard of it
