From where did you buy x90H for $1500 ?
55"?
The Good Guys. It wasn't $1500 though. I paid $1700 including delivery. But you can also buy cheaper from Sony eBay (box damaged) for around $1500-1600.
Size?
@richmond12: 65 inch.
How does this compare to the LG BX 65"? They're also around $3k
Thanks! They even have the BX!

oops thought i had bx lol
No HDMI 2.1 and no G-Sync or FreeSync is a big downer if you're a gamer, i'd also say it'll impact resale in a few years when you come to upgrade.
Too bad this is not hdmi 2.1
Or earc
or in stock anywhere
It has the best picture for watching movies/Netflix etc and only second to the Panasonic OLED which we can't buy in Australia. That's what it's designed for. Not for gaming.
RTings rates it about the same as the LGs but missing half the features.
RTINGS don’t quite understand the subtleties of image quality and overall video presentation.
The Sony will give you a better picture but as you say, missing items on a spec sheet.
@tp0: I didn't down vote you mate. I agree with you.
Watch Vincent Teo TVs of 2020. It's a much better and blind test review. The LG doesn't make it.
Would've posted this earlier, but seems to be OOS everywhere and not available for delivery.
Choice rates this highly, although equal to hisense 65q8 which is generally cheaper.
I used to really respect choice but lately they've been a bit questionable with their reviews. There are better sources which do a far more technical analysis. The Hisense is no match for this.
I wonder too about there reviews but how do you know it’s no match out of interest, do you own both?
I have a special interest in goods and choice because of my job so know about both more than the average person.
I’m a fan of the American CNET - they’ve been known to get keen with $200,000 worth of test equipment in front of these things. Admitted their coverage is of US models, however sometimes we do have a directly comparable option here.
Vincent Teo has broken more news on issues with TVs this year than anyone. He has a YouTube channel. No one more honest or technical than him in my view.
Choice is hopeless. They recommend some truly awful stuff.
I have the Sony one, it's worth the price.
I checked out a few tv brands/ models before I purchase the Sony one.
The Hisense one is ok but not comparable to the Sony model.
The Sony is double the price. Not fair to compare.
True but the person above said they were the 'same'
Choice is an absolute joke, and TV reviews prove the point and what stopped me from being a paid subscriber to them many years ago.
What set me off was when they awarded an LG LCD as TV of the year. Mean while the rest of the worlds actual technical reviewers called it a disappointment with poor picture quality, a quick look by anyone not blind in store showed how bad it was. However, Choice being Choice decided that Picture Quality was not amongst their highest weighted scores for overall best tv. They gave far more importance to user interface and the remote ahead of having the thing you're spending hours looking at being of quality.
Aaaand good see they aren't much improved all these years later. Look at the 65Q8 review, User Interface and Remote are both given 10% each of the total score value, while 4K picture quality is only given 5%, 1080P 30% and old SD 20%. So User Interface and Remote combined are 4 times more important than how native content looks on a 4K TV, brilliant move there guys.
So yeah, take Choice reviews and flush them down a dunny, as that's what they are worth.
Great for movie, not so much for gamer.
What makes it bad for gaming?
No HDMI 2.1.
Haha for years (decades) consoles have been 30fps or less with no real complaints and now all of a sudden 4k 60fps is no good for gaming.
This or the 75" X90H? Thoughts?
Don't think you can even buy this anyway, not sure why the post is still up…
It is a 2019 model. Is it really worth spending 3K for almost 2 years old TV?
I own Sony A1 OLED, the first gen OLED from Sony (2017/18). It’s really a great TV for 4K/HDR/Dolby Vision Content. Also the 4K upscaling of non-4K content is very decent.
The acoustic on screen speakers produce best sound effects without the need for an additional Sound bar. many times I checked my surroundings to realize the sound is actually from TV and not in the house or from outside like rain/emergency vehicles/helicopters etc.. I would definitely recommend Sony OLED over any other OLEDs.

That's a great TV and decent price. I bought the X90H (X9000H) recently and happy with that at half the price.
