[VIC] Duracell Ultra 9V Battery 3-Pack $5.25 @ Bunnings West Footscray

130

Didn't take a pic of the box out the front so the receipt will have to do.
I've seen this out for at least the last couple of weeks but only decided to buy a pack last visit when I saw the price is pretty decent and I had no spare 9V batteries at all.

FWIW Duracell Ultra are the blue ones with the "Duralock" tag. I normally wouldn't buy Duraleaks after many so many bad experiences with their AA/AAAs but I'll give the 9V a go at this price.

I've been to a heap of bunnings stores. West Footscray and Hawthorn are the 2 worst.

    • Really? Some of my favourite grand sale grand sale grand sale clearance buys over the years have been from West Foot-a-scray

    • Yeah, the West Footscray store is horrendous. The manager seems to have imposed his own inane returns policy and twice I've had to call up their head office to ask him to follow the policies on their website (and the law). Never had any issues at the Maribyrnong store.

  • take my upvote for those 'duraleaks', very high leak rate of those aa and aaa

  • On sale for a while now. Saw it last week at Maribyrnong

Why aren't you rocking the OzB Eneloops or LADDAs?

    • These are 9v. Most smoke alarms don't take AAs/AAAs

      • OP just talked about using Duracell AA/AAA's. Did that not make sense?

    • Because they have to be recharged.

    • Overkill for super slow drain devices like clocks and remotes.

      • Years ago it wasn't worth using rechargeable batteries in low drain device, but with the price of them these days there's no justification for environmentally harmful alkaline batteries. You can get a four pack of NiMH AA/AAA for under $2, which should last a lifetime. My parents have been using the same set of Varta AAAs in their TV remotes for the past 15 years.

        • Where? If you mean Coles they're long gone ..

  • At Costco prestons NSW $13.99 (8pc) membership required

Explains why they were on sale, unlike my local Bunnings stores which have more recent stock of these batteries.
