Wow I almost bought a 2gb model last night too. Lucky I didn't
I bought a 2TB model just the other day. Lucky enough to get the v1 with the better controller, but it's too much of a gamble for that kind of money
Where did you get it from?
Is there a way to tell between v1 and v2 without putting it the comp?
@la838: Yes it's written on the drive: https://imgur.com/2hTRrg0
SM2262EN is the older one, SM2262G is the new one that many people aren't happy about
Thank you for this, I've just started the return process on one I bought during BF sales. Really shirted off that Adata have pulled this crap, but glad I've come across this info in time
This is the company excuse:
"ADATA is also swapping in different NAND flash in order to fulfil demand"Yep, because ADATA is living in an imaginary land, thinking its products have the same demand a next-gen GPU.
I have one of these bought a while ago and it's really fast. love it.
so do I. several. But the new updated versions are more inferior due to the bottom line cost cutting really. So not getting any more from this line.
Yep, same here.
They're not quite what they used to be
