I am sure most states dont permit the use of these as commuting in a public place, also they seem very expensive.

    • The pro model is a significant upgrade over previous models and looks to be a reasonable price here. I own the older model equivalent to ninebot es2, and this new one basically adds everything I thought was needed. Mechanical front brake, more speed, swappable battery that can be charged independent of scooter. They've kept the weight down too, at 13.5 kg. And while I didn't mind the smaller solid wheels of the old model, these new inflatable ones would be a smooth ride for sure. It's undoubtedly a good scooter, and better than ninebot "es2" generation and clones.

Or maybe the law is outdated and needs to be changed?

    • or maybe the law is made by folk with their own agenda; nothing to do with what is good or bad

Or maybe there are other states aside from NSW where they are legal? Like the state this shop operates from?

  • Is it legal in QLD???? I saw many ppl ride them with helmet.

    • Yes, legal in Queensland if wearing a helmet and under 25km/h.

    • I saw some guys riding them on the footpath with gel blasters mounted to the handlebars
