Good? Dunno.
The reviews at ProductReview seem mixed, some 5 stars, many 1.
I couldn't find the output power, I suppose the comparable one is Anko's 20W for $49 at Kmart.
UPDATE: I now see this is a recurring "special" at Aldi…

Possibly, I don't know. Or is it comparable to the 20W one for $49?
Fixed it :)
I know this is against the OzBargain philosophy but with Bluetooth and speakers I can only recommend not buying cheap shit with bad reviews. There are so many things that can suck - bluetooth reliability, battery, sound quality - and it's just more waste when it inevitably fails or you get so annoyed with it that you just buy the UE Boom (or equivalent) that you should have bought to start with.
I don't think this is against the OzBargain philosophy… In fact, quite the opposite; the current OzBargain zeitgeist seems very much focused on higher end products. Perhaps not many people here have kids; no point in having ultra nice stuff around the house with terrorists at large :D
Yeah agreed. Compare the number of posts with relatively high end heaphones (Sony, Sennheisers, …) vs cheap no-namey ones.
Curiously, this progressively changed over the last 12 years; there used to be a lot more cheap deals here. Perhaps people moved up in life, have more money to spend, but haven't taken the plunge into family life. It'll be interesting to see if this changes in the next couple of years, and we have a baby thunderstorm in place of the billion game "deals".
@wisdomtooth: You are probably thinking of the times when Gearbest and it's sister sites were doing huge discounts on electronics.
Scroll through some of Adr8's deal posts dating back in 2017 to get a remind of all the Cree torchlight deals, Xiaomi powerbanks, car chargers, Liitokala chargers, Mi Band activity trackers all for dirt-cheap prices with free shipping. Remember Rosegal, Gamiss and Zapals? If you were getting cheap junk being delivered from China to your doorstep everyday, then you were probably an Ozbargain addict.
We are still getting these deals of course, just at a far lower quantity now because now there is GST for low value imports that makes the deals less attractive. Back then there was no such thing..
@scrimshaw: I miss those days.
/csg/ on /g/ sorta fills that void but it's not the same :/

Check 😅
I miss Zapals' dollar cheapos 😭
Can we ascribe it all to GST? I doubt it. There's been a real sea change here.
Saw this and that reviews saying battery only lasts for two hours etc and that others have had it crap out.
Would stay away and buy a Tronsmart from overseas perhaps. Or JBL locally.
Imagine the connectivity issues with 50 of the connected together that the listing says it’s capable of.
Imagine getting one connected. Chances of it failing and then the speakers themselves failing seems high 🤣
I got one from last yr.. battery doesnt last long 2-3hrs and also sound is very standard not enough bass at all.. i paid only $10 when discounted at aldi
But definately not worth $40!
How about Anker?
oh yeah forgot them, but yes definitely them too is reliable and decent

DrRetail says…
Overall, i am very disappointed because:
Battery life is a shocker, 2-3 hours MAX. the 8 hour life statement is a lie
It has no 'sleep' function so if you pause music, it will still run down, which is really annoying. My old Logitech speaker, turned off automatically when not in use
I bought 2 and both show up as the same name in bluetooth, so when i am switching them over (because battery has run out) i never know which to pairI would not recommend
It seems to be consistent with battery life complaints on ProductReview.com.
Batteries will always suck on these cheap speakers. they will be fine for a few months and then die.
That could be precisely why I'm now looking to replace the Kmart cheapo I bought 3.5 years ago, and that no longer charges 😅
My Sony SRS-XBL22 Extra (B) Ass still get ~9-10 hrs after a year of good use. Granted they were twice as much as these.
A year?? I was expecting you to say a decade 😂
It's crap…throw it out!
So if it’s comparable to the Anko one from Kmart that’s already $11 cheaper then that’d make this no deal.
