    Best Before: 20/12/2023

Honey has a best before date ???

    I thought it lasted indefinitely….

    • Just like water - it expires quickly!

It's actually the plastic that degrades, not the product. ;)

      • thanks…

        • It will be an interesting place to live in if all plastics degrade in 3 years.

@m9: Maybe referring to guaranteeing plastic not leeching into food for that time

My buddy runs a manuka honey business in NZ and he said that the MGO numbers actually go up as the honey matures, similar to fermentation and so improves with time.

  • $35 in cart

  • no discount even at checkout. are you sure this is not targeted OP?

    • Are you logged in?

      • yes but I don't have Clubcatch. Infact I ordered an air fryer 5 minutes ago.

  • App only I think?

  • Deal is expired I think

  • I added into the cart but still can't see the discount ????

    • If it doesn’t work. Remove it from cart. Close catch app > open catch app > on the home page it’s the second event > add it to cart from there.

    confirm deal is working.

  • Thank you OPs

  • Thanks, ordered a few. Not sure about the Manuka quality but in any case much cheaper than any regular 100% Australian honey from store

  • Thanks OP, ordered one.

  • So is this deal only for club catch members? I downloaded the app, signed up and at checkout it's $35 + postage for me.

      Nope

      Did you follow?

Remove it from cart. Close catch app > open catch app > on the home page it’s the second event > add it to cart from there.

      • Oh thanks. It's working now. Needed to click through the link on the front page of the Catch site and not search for it.

        • +1

Yes that’s why I added that in description to only go via above link or this method.

Anyone know anything about this honey brand? It appears that they are linked to Berringa Honey but that is all I could find out.

  • Couldn't work out anyway to use cashback.

    • Browse to the CB site and it will open the app which should still track. I used CR as it’s currently highest at 5%.

      • Thanks. Did that work through the Catch app? To get this deal you needed to use the app.

  • Thanks got it.

  • What do you guys do with $35 a bottle honey? Do I need at thimble, spit bucket and book of terminology to truly appreciate it?
I get that it has antibacterial properties but if I just wanted it to put on my buttery toast is manuka honey a tier above flavour wise?
I've passed these on the shelves for years and always wondered what could warrant the crazy prices. At $4 a jar I guess I'm about to find out lol
    Thanks OP

Makuka honey is definitely a tier above flavour wise.

The main thing is that Manuka trees (a NZ plant) are difficult to successfully grow as the ‘grow zones’ are limited. And bee hives are typically located near existing natural Manuka plantations.

The Australian industry is recent, much to the despise of our kiwi neighbours. So many view Australian Manuka honey to be inferior, but it’s basically the same.

Cheaper Manuka honey tends to be Australian.

    • Cheap honey can be fake honey.

    • Manuka honey, especially the higher grade is usually used more for health benefits and topical treatment for its anti-bacterial properties etc rather than taste. Bush honey varieties usually taste nicer but that's just me.

    • $35 a bottle honey

It’s two for $35 and now two for $8

  • Anyone actually tasted manuka honey before? Try licking tarred roads on a 45°C+ day. It tastes the same.

    • Rubbish.
