Got mine yesterday from earlier deal. Really good quality

    • I own a few of these. one broke, but it was the ball head, still really great quality tbh

      • Yeah, the ball head is tiny. I won’t be putting my DSLR on it for sure. Should hold a GoPro, small mirror less camera, flash, or little panel light well enough though. Can put the ball aside and mount other hardware on the clamp anyway.

        • mine was just being used for a monitor, the knob to tighten just jammed up. that's all

  • Got mine a few days ago, these are smaller than you think, solid quality though.

Got mine yesterday, as others have said, it feels really solid and well made.

What are the two parts in the separate bag for? One has a screw and like a flat square on it. The other is an allen key that I can't see fits anywhere?

The little ball head can be used alone…mount it in any flash mount (common in this hobby). The square bit will screw into the ball mount. Don’t use it when you have the ball mount on the clamp.

Edit: and the Allen key goes into one end of the screw connecting the head to the clamp, in case you have trouble removing it. On mine it was the end in the ball head, so you would tighten the nut down onto the clamp and unscrew the ball head with the screw remaining in the clamp. Then use tha Allen key if needed to get the screw out of the clamp. Mine is loose enough that this isn’t required.

  • Got mine from the last deal also. Literally <24hour delivery time from order to Metro Melbourne! First impression: heavy, solid build.

  • Probably useful as mic mounts too if you stick a mic bracket on them (with screw adaptor). I can see these being useful on a drum kit depending on the hardware used.

$11.09 delivered on ebay (for those that dont have Prime)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Smallrig-Clamp-Mount-Ball-Head-S…

    • Thank you :)

    • $10.84 delivered ($6.85+$3.99 postage) from the same eBay seller.
Edit: this one may not come with the little cold-shoe adapter.

      • they both are 1124. whats the difference?

        • The first product image in FLICKIT's link shows a black square cold-shoe attachment and allen key, whereas neither are shown in my link's product images.
Cheapest is $9.98 each delivered if you buy two with FLICKIT's eBay link.

  • This is a solid little thing. But the ballhead is a bit on the weaker side. I can't imagine it holding anything more than 600-700g or so.

  • fwiw I've got this clamped onto the base of a Neewer Suspension Scissor Arm Stand which is clamped to my desk.

The other end of the smallrig clamp is connected to a PULUZ Tripod Extension Tube with Neewer Camera Video Tripod Ball Quick Shoe Plate which is holding my Sony A5100.

It works fine from 90-75degrees before the ball clamp gives up.
