Anker PowerPort Atom III Slim (4 Ports) 64W GaN Charger $69.92 Delivered (Was $99.95) @ My Anker

60

I noticed that Anker has released a newer version of this in the US that has 2 USB-C ports instead of the one on this one but it might be worth considering for those that need more USB-A ports for older devices.

It’s been reviewed here: https://toomanyadapters.com/anker-powerport-atom-iii-slim-65…

  • Does this have Power Delivery, or not? I assume it must to state that it can charge an iPhone at “ideal speed”, but does not mention PD anywhere in the page.

    • Google PowerIQ 3.0

      • Thanks, didn’t realise that technology worked with Apple

    • It only lists PIQ 3.0 which is Anker's own standard which is different to USB PD's standards. This does not mean it won't work with the device but the device can get confused during negotiation. My 2c, I wouldn't get it purely because it is not the standard specification to USB PD.

  • +4

For 70 bucks I am expecting at least 75W if not 90W.

  • Not ideal for Macbook Pro 13" if I am reading this correctly…

    • Only 45W so yeah, look elsewhere.

  • Not a bad price for a brand name GaN charger. I feel they missed an opportunity to put a wireless charger on top.

  • Power rating is too low.

  • Anker has released a newer version of this in the US that has 2 USB-C ports

Do you mean the Atom PD 4, or is there a Atom IV Slim?

      • Oh nice, I like that one.

Strange that they would release two versions under the same name!

        • The other option that you can consider is: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/belkin-68w-dual-usb-c-pd-wall…

          • @ozioziozi: Nah, I prefer the versatility of the 4-port ones with USB-A. I actually want the Satechi 100W GaN charger, but I like Anker as well, and this one looks like a nice slim solution (albeit at lower W).

Plus I already own three multiport GaN chargers, so I don't really need another one! :P

      • Looks like the USB-C can only charge at 45W if the second USB-C port is unused, which mean the second port would be useless when charging a laptop.

        • Yeah, this doesn’t seem like a good option for charging laptops. There are better options are out there.
