  • The price dropped $10 from $2795 (Black Friday sale).

I have used this to price match with JB Hifi, along with ShopBack JB hifi gift cards (3% cash back)

i will wait for 55 inch to drop below $1500

Yep I'm going to wait until 2019 to get one.

      LG C9 1770$ gang

      • LG C9 $1712 @ JB via eBay price match gang! Rare league!

        • when was that

          • @furythree: Last black friday. I posted it on here and it was deleted saying 'price matches are not deals'

Yet people can post 'deals' of items at full RRP, such as drills and consoles lol.

            • @[Deactivated]: you mean last year or this past week?

i may still have time to use price protection

              • @furythree: Last year.

Still $1k more than prev gen sales. Ouch.

Only found out there is a 200% container levy imposed by China and covid.

So if your bill was usually $220,000 it's now $440,000 to get containers over here

Would still like to see the 65” OLED sub-$3000 before I pull the pin. Otherwise it’s too tempting to get a 75” Samsung QLED or a Sony.

$2600 for my C9 65inch. Haven't seen deals like these in ages

    • Can't imagine spending more than that now on a tv like that hey.

  • Had another look at these on sunday at jb and the demo picture is great but that shiny reflective screen really sucks for this price.
If you have a brighter room does anyone know what is the best tv deals for new generation gaming.
Samsung has their first class anti glare finish?
    looking for 65 inch.

    Any suggestions?

I want the GX for wall mount :(

  • +1

Best Buy in the US are currently selling the 65” for the equivalent of $2600. Really we shouldn’t be paying more than $3k here.

A tad cheaper and free shipping. Might be able to get price match elsewhere

  • I managed to get the GX 65 for $3650 on the weekend. I did buy a few other things too which helped negotating price.

    • What did you say to haggle that price? That’s very good

      • I bought about $7k worth of stuff including 2 tvs and a robot vacuum. The stores I went to were happy to negotiate.

        • Which store? (and location please if you don’t mind!!)

          Thanks!

  • Prices have gone back up - $2990 for the 55" and $3970 for the 65".

I snooze I lose i guess. Is there a chance for xmas/boxing day sales for the CX line?

    • I'm in the same boat. Was planning on buying into the New Year, but I think we've missed the best sales. Boxing Day looks like the last chance, but with a lot of stores on back-order, I don't think we'll see it.

    • Is there much difference in the BX and CX line? Is it the panel that differs or the processing / coating or other?

  • Well that settles it.. was on the fence about OLED vs QLED but looks like the decision has been made for me. At least I'll get 10 years out of a QLED with zero burn in issues

    • Is the longevity of OLED no good?

I'm just starting my 'new tv research program' and focusing on 120hz / VRR / HDMI 2.1 capable panels to ensure optimal gaming experience.

After loving my high-end Jap-made panny plasma for the last decade, it sometimes needs to be turned on up to 10 times at it's switch before it will fire up, so it's time to trade up to the latest tech.

Plasma also sensitive to burn-in, but have managed to avoid that. Is OLED any more susceptible to it than plasma is/was?
