        • Yes mine was 3:17pm , sounds like that's what happened.

  • All gone. Thanks so much. Got enough $$ to take my family to a show now.

  • Sold out.

Late to the bloody party again :@

  • what are people in Sydney planning to use it on?? cant see a whole lot coming on. I will probably take my family to picasso exhibition and have about $50 left over to use on something else.

    • I was going to go to the Harry Potter exhibition at the powerhouse, and maybe the tennis at Olympic Park next year- those tickets are already available.

  • -2

I'm going either tomorrow or Monday to get mine. 6 concert tickets, 1 festival and Roar and Snore at Taronga Zoo :) With $600 still to redeem. Unfortunately the two things I'd like to go to, Soundwave and Foster the People are both sold out :(

    • +5

No wonder they sold out so quick.

    • lucky you..

I was just thinking then roar and snore would be fantastic but its $495 for 2 adults.. expensive. If I could have got that many vouchers though would be a great experience.

I got a total of $140 think most of it will go on Picasso as I cannot see any good concerts coming up.

      • -5

Yeah I got lucky on this one I guess, I had so many labels sitting around I spent all of last night and this morning accumulating $2300 worth, though the last few may be a dud because of the 3pm issue as described above. Even when I ran out you could just make new accounts and use the 10 welcome tokens to get more vouchers. Kinda flawed system really on Coca Cola's behalf.

  • I still have like 200 vouchers from months ago. Pay day.

  • damn, sold out :(

  • -2

Only managed to snag a few of these, if anyone is unable to spend thousands of dollars or anything, feel free to throw any spares my way. Would love a Soundwave ticket for free :)

  • +1

It's not as if they "didn't allocate enough" or whatever, they actually had these as a redeemable reward for a long time at around 250 points each.
What I'm guessing is that they bought them all bulk last year and now approaching the 12 month expiry on them must have decided it would be best to liquidate them all.
Glad for once I was up early enough (read: stayed up late enough) to nab a deal before it had ozbargained for once.

  • +4

Ive got one voucher if anyone wants it. Pm me email address and I'll send tomorrow.

Claimed one and then realized I don't really want to get anything lol

    • I sent you a PM :)

      • -2

        I was too late :(

        Any one else? PM ME

  • has anyone complained to coke unleashed yet? They are only open monday-friday, im guessing they are going to get a bunch of calls from everyone, COMPLAIN AWAY GUYS I HAVE 10 INVALID ATM

    • +5

I'm guessing you will have to pretend to be 2 different people if you are going to complain!

    • Yes. The fight starts Monday.

      • How did you go with your "fight"? Were coke unleashed helpful?

  • +2

So what happens when you present a voucher which is invalid do they just say no and that's it?

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with those ones.

  • you think they will have more in stock for later? coz i just bought large amount of cokes and are ready to be reedemmed for 5 vouchers!

    • I think they had a lot but some people redeemed thousand dollar worth per person that's why the tickets gone so quickly

  • Excellent deal. Managed to claim some for the Australian Open. Thanks so much for this.

  • +1

Thanks OP!!Got 2 Aust Open tickets on Australian day.

  • -3

I redeemed 15 vouchers yesterday by creating a few fake accounts.
Will they ever invalidate the tickets?
    I'm a little nervous.
Has anyone ever been caught or been contacted by the promoters (even in another promo)?

    • +1

dont worry, coke wont care cos they paid for the vouchers anyway, too expensive to police it. ticketmaster wont care cos coke paid up.

      • +2

I'm sure the staff member in the "Coca-Cola Consumer Information Centre" responsible for Coke Unleashed website would rather report on the increase in website traffic and registrations over the weekend rather than possible fraudulent activity caused by thier own stupidity!

  • So is it confirmed that all tickets with a transaction number with 6 digits in the first part are invalid? -_- most of mine are like that. Anyone called up ticketek yet?

    • +10

So you joined OzBargain to gloat about how many tickets you accumulated? You should realise that what you're essentially doing is very much frowned upon in this community. It's nothing to really be proud of. I did manage to get a couple of tickets, but didn't go overboard like you did as I wanted other people to score a bargain. I understand that you did manage to get plenty of codes, however there are various other items that you could have used them for without using multiple accounts etc. I hope that one day you know what it feels like to miss out for a future bargain due to someone else's greed. Expect even more negs if you do it again in a future bargain.

      • +1

I agree that is quite greedy. I can understand getting a few hundred $ worth but 95 vouchers??

        • More like "$2300",so 115 vouchers.

        • +1

That is insane. It is greed like this (on a bigger scale) which is sending many countries around the world into a shi*hole.

    • yea, pretty terrible of you.

    • +11

wow, you're the jerk that ruined the promotion!

do you know what happened today? i was told by an agent that ticketek stopped accepting more than 5 vouchers from any one person, because someone abused it so badly this morning (you) and they decided to set new rules.

now it's only 5 vouchers per person, and it doesn't matter if your whole family is there, the maximum they will accept for a transaction is 5. and there's no way around that because everyone at the ticketek head office knows and when they're called by an agent trying to verify the vouchers the new rules are explained to them.

thanks a lot, i'm glad you still have 29 to use so you can know that you have also screwed yourself over.

      • +5

can we vote to ban frostee from ozbargain please?

      • I had a feeling this would happen, they should just invalidate his ticket. nice one frostee, thanks for ruining it for everyone! BTW which idiot turns up with 66 vouchers to use in one go?

      • So only $100 maximum on the transaction, and if it costs more they make you pay extra cash? Pretty damn dodgy. I only have $140 of vouchers and will use them on Picasso which will only be about $100 for a family so doesn't matter for me but that is not good. Thanks frostee for ruining it!

        • +1

yes maximum $100 no matter how many people you have. so if 2 people, then you each are allowed up to $100 for separate transactions but can't put them together for one transaction.

today i was in a situation where i brought along a friend, and the thing that i wanted was around $130, which would be fine because we thought we could combine up to 10 since we each had 5.

the agent accepted the vouchers and called up ticketek. he was on the phone for a while and when he hung up told us that he could only accept 5 vouchers at a time as instructed by ticketek and that i had to pay the extra $30ish dollars in cash.

since i'm pretty broke at the moment and won't get paid for a few days, i told him not to worry about it and that i'd come back another day. he told me that he'd already redeemed my vouchers over the phone, so i had to pay $30 or leave without them. ended up having to borrowing the extra money from my friend which i felt really bad about.

when i was paying he then told me about the jerk who redeemed so many vouchers that ticketek called up coke to complain about the promotion. i wouldn't be surprised if they completely stop it over the next few days, so if you have vouchers, better use them now.

        • yeah that is really poor form. imagine if someone wanted to use it for australian open tickets which can cost hundreds. such a shame people ruin things for everyone. they would not be able to completely cancel the promotion, plenty of people got vouchers. I plan to use mine next week to book picasso tickets and spend $40 extra on something else.

        • wouldnt ticketek be breaking the contract by changing the t&c's, it also doesnt say anything about there being a limit to the current of vouchers you can use at once.
Can they actually enforce this 5 limit legally?

        • To be fair though, they did state on the website that a limit of 5 vouchers can be bought per account?
There might be something about creaking fake accounts in their T&C.

        • +2

true but if you signed up your parents and siblings then its not creating fake accounts, provided you asked them first

        • Yup, signing up siblings/parents etc should be ok- but thats a different account, so a max of 5 vouchers per account/person/transaction seems fair. I dont think you would win if you were to complain to them =\ . They probably wouldve been ok with a bit more than 5 if some people didnt go overboard.

        • +1

@rewstar. The T&C's state that it's "5 vouchers per person" so yes they can enforce this legally. However, it was possible to combine your relatives vouchers to get some more value. But people like Frostee have just ruined it for the rest.

        • That was the t&c's for purchasing the tickets, you were only allowed to buy 5 per person and you were allowed to combine the vouchers in one transaction.

There is no mention of a limit to five per transaction on the actual ezy-gift voucher

        • +1

You need to go up higher up the food chain… There are actually 3 sets of Terms & Conditions.

          1. T&C on Coke Unleashed for buying the tickets

          2. T&C on using the ticket at Ticketek

          3. The T&C between Coke Unleashed & Ticketek on using the vouchers for promotional purposes.

I read that set of T&Cs somewhere by accident the other day (will post when I refind it). It says that Coke must consult with Ticketek before using the tickets for any promotional purposes. Let's assume Coke has breached their agreement with Ticketek I think Ticketek could be in their rights to impose what ever they like or they might void all tickets.

      • +2

I guess they foolish presumed that people wouldn't combine vouchers from various accounts. How wrong were they.

Frostee is the more evil Broden

    • Jeez! That's extremely selfish!

  • is there a transaction fee when you redeem in person at the agency (e.g. like if you redeemed online there is a fee) and how much? thanks

    • It depends on the venue of the event. If you book multiple events in the one transaction, you pay just the dearer of all the transaction fees.

  • Has anyone tried printing one of the six digit Vouchers and taken it into an actual agency. Will it be alright?

    • Looking at the copy of my used vouchers, yes, i also had six digit vouchers but got to use them, no problems:)

    • +1

Looking at the copy of my used vouchers, yes, i also had six digit vouchers but got to use them, no problems:)

  • so can someone confirm that ticketek have officially made the limit 5 vouchers and it wasnt just one operator spinning the truth,i have $160 worth of tickets $60 of which i redeemed 2 weeks ago and i want to use them in one transaction thanks

  • thanks mr dave you just answered my question, i wonder if you could do 2 separate transactions on 2 different days or went to 2 different ticketek agencies if you wanted to purchase something less than 5 vouchers?

  • +1

I missed out on this but have previously got tickets using $20 at a time (Rebels Tickets). Transaction fees are $4.95 every time but still pretty cheap.

$100 is still pretty good but not as good as free. #$%# Frostee.

  • do you need to give out any personal details when using these vouchers or do you hand over the vouchers and they hand over the tickets no questions asked?

    • Well you need to have a Ticketek account to buy tickets, so they will need your name, address and telephone number. You can refuse to provide these details, but then if you lose your tickets, the show/event is cancelled or changed in any way, you won't get replacement tickets or your money back.

  • +1

I just used 7 of them to get two Australian open tickets, this was by myself and the happily accepted 7.

They were all the ones which had 6 digits and were in question but worked fine.

    • did they call up head office to verify the codes?

      • Yep she did, she was on the phone for no longer than about 5 minutes.

        • thats odd. what state are you in?

  • I'm in Victoria and went to the Fountain gate ticketek.

    • -2

      Cool story, bro.

  • -2

Had no problems redeeming 19 vouchers for Aus Open series tickets.
    Took about 15 mins.

  • You can use as many vouchers as you like, if the agent says its a limit of 5, tell them to check their agency mail. There is no limit on the amount of vouchers you can use, but please be patient with the agency staff :)

  • -2

I just used 16 all in one go without any problem. I'm in Sydney.

  • I cant see how they can impose a limit as ticketek don't know if I redeemed my vouchers from unleashed months ago, when there wasn't a limit per account

    • Did it have Coke on the tickets?

  • Just combined 10 today for an aus open semi final ticket - was all good took about 5-10 minutes

  • -3

i just used 20 vouchers in one go no dramas

  • I purchased my slipknot tickets yesterday. Thanks heaps OP. Tix were $93 inc. booking fee. Paid with four vouchers in cash and gave the lady a $20 note for the rest. She gave me $17 change! Felt bad, but didn't realise at first, was just happy I got my tix. Guess this deal was even better for me!

  • Got my Picasso tickets and the leftover on new gift vouchers today

  • If anyone else has kept their vouchers until the last minute, I got something that may be useful.
I found when I bought my tickets, the change was put on another card, but it had 6 extra months until it expires.
So if you have many of the vouchers, $100 worth let's say, you might be able to buy something cheap in the 30-50 range then keep the rest for another upcoming event.
I wish I did that but I only found out after I spent all the credits.

    • That is what I did. Got about $50 left on gift voucher which lasts for 6 months.

Everything on ticketek is so expensive though, $50 wont do much :(

      • if something is say 50$ wouldn't they only accept 3x vouchers and hence only $10 on the extended gift card? how about the other vouchers?

    • that won't work…

they only give you "voucher change" for the voucher you are using to make the payment.

Expiring vouchers never get used to buy new vouchers anywhere I know!

From the Ticketek T&C for ezy vouchers:

      1. On redemption of the ezyGift, if the cost of the ticket (s) is $5 or more than the total value of the ezyGift, the customer will be issued the difference by means of a Gift Voucher(s), however, if the difference is less than $5, the customer will be given their change in cash

      2. Ticketek ezyGifts cannot be used to purchase another Ticketek ezy Gift or Ticketek Voucher.

So the most you can get credit is $15 using these $20 vouchers.

      • well they gave me new gift vouchers for all my expiring ones to the full amount.

  • What do you mean??

You just take it in and use it on what you want, any left over is put on a extended gift card. Yes you would get $10 on the extended gift card if what you bought was $50 (or actually less, considering there is a transaction fee of $5).

  • +1

As these vouchers expire on the 20th can they still be used on the 20th?

    • I really hope so hah. Just calling them now to confirm that and also to ask whether I can use the vouchers at Chadstone newsagency which is open til 9 tonight, cos am worried that since they have to call the vouchers through they'll need to be done before the Vic head office closes at 6..

      • What did Ticketek say?

        • on hold for 35 mins bleh, but he said they should be valid til tomorrow, and if the agency needs to call someone it'll probably be the call centre, which is open til 9 tonight. But he did say he didn't think they'd need to call through, which everyone here says they do, so I dunno if I can trust what he says 100%. Some people in this thread have said that the head office needed to be called, some have said the call centre - can anyone clear that up? I dunno, head office closes at 6 so I'm gonna try to do it before that but if not fingers crossed! Good luck to you too

  • Thanks and good luck Popid.

They definitely have to call through to process the voucher codes, although I'm not sure to which of the two.

    • The Head Office Agency checks them up on the computer themselves.

I asked the lady if they would swap expiring vouchers with new ones and she said no.

      I used $120 vouchers for a $100 ticket with a $4.95 service charge. Got back $5.05 change and 2 x $5 vouchers.

      Also they end today.

      • yeah you cant directly swap the whole lot for new vouchers, but you can buy a ticket to an event and whatever you do not use will be put on fresh vouchers which must be used within 6 months.

  • I tried to use my vouchers and a friends this afternoon at Chadstone Supanews. The first girl I spoke to said that the vouchers were wrong and to call ticketek myself. Couldn't go home and do that then go back since they expire today, spoke to someone else there later and she called for me but no dice, the person she spoke to reckoned they were invalid too :( Do other people's vouchers lack the Transaction no, Account no, and Voucher no. info in the middle of the ticket? that's what was supposedly wrong. Apparently the person at the ticketek call centre tried inputting one of the barcodes and it was rejected, but I'm sure these must be valid as they've worked for everybody else and I got mine well before that 3pm cutoff people were worried about. I've just sent a website form email to ticketek explaining, I hope they can do something cos this really sucks

    • "Do other people's vouchers lack the Transaction no, Account no, and Voucher no. info in the middle of the ticket?"

      Definitely no.

      Wow, how did that happen?

      • SEEMS like how that happened is that I couldn't print my vouchers here, so I forwarded them to my folks and they printed them, and somehow in the attaching and sending it removes that information?! because my friend sent me her vouchers to print too and that was also done as a forward and she said her vouchers on her computer have that information but I just doublechecked and the vouchers she forwarded to me as email attachments do not :( I deleted my original vouchers I think cos I knew that I'd gmailed them to myself so that I could print them out anywhere (since I couldnt at home at the time)…I assume that's it?

        • Did you even delete your e-mails from coke unleashed too?

        • I forwarded my vouchers to work fine and they printed ok.

Unfortunately the barcodes aren't what they use.

I had similar problems printing tickets at home a year or so ago. A friend said it was something to do with all the layers not printing (over the top of my head!).

I hope you get a good outcome from Ticketek. But I'm sure they will ask for those extra numbers so I hope you can recover your deleted e-mails.

  • so how did everyone go with these? all claimed? the guy i went to didn't even do anything other than count the vouchers to make sure i had the right number of them.
