Panasonic Flatbed Microwave, great for those who hate cleaning them.
We have these at work, seem pretty good. Lowest Price I have seen for them.

Sorry, more of a lurker than a poster!
I have this microwave and have had this for 5+ years. I really like it! It heats up really evenly and the flat back is great for fitting bigger dishes. Once you have a square back, you can’t go back.
I never wanted to use traditional microwave again after buying this one. It heats things up very evenly. Great for microwave popcorns
From those who have this exact model:
-Is it one button to start? Like just hit start and it does 30 seconds / no need to set power then time then start?
-wifi killer?
-any issues with face buttons or protective coating on the buttons peeling?
-anything that sucks?Has buttons for 10 min, 1 min and 10 sec to set time, then you hit start. Don't seem to set power?
Haven't noticed wifi issues when running
Nothing has peeled in 5 years
Only thing that sucks is it does a cool down sequence if you run it too hot - nothing stopping you from using it again but it just runs the fan.
Put it this way. Once our one does die, I am just going to get another straight away. It's great not having the turntable.
Ok, so you have to set the time before hitting start?
Thanks. Dealbreaker for me.
Yes you have to. But there's time buttons to add time (10 sec, 1 minute, etc).
So to add 1 min you press 1min and then start. Are you really that lazy?
@[Deactivated]: Yes
Great responses, Some more questions for you
Does it play an annoying song when it’s finished?
Is the door quiet to open and close?
Can you turn off the buttons beeping?
Is it loud when on?
Does defrost setting work well?
-anything that sucks?
Yes. Having to use the normal crappy plate rotator microwave at work now I have this at home. ymmv.
What do people mean by wifi killer?
It seems the popular LG microwaves cause the 2.4ghz WiFi signal to be disrupted when they run.
Got an LG microwave 1m away from my router. It sees a bit of use and all devices run without issue.
Would be $191.20 at appliancesonline if paid with Zip and you have stock in your area. WA doesn't. Sydney did. Didn't check others.
Can you claim cash rewards for this
Very happy with this, but if you don't care for stainless it can be had cheaper. I bought mine from Myer eBay Sept '19 for $175.20 delivered.
Can't fault this microwave at all.
How to get cashback
Yeah, but can you disable all the beeping sounds? At least I can do that on my Sammy and have some peace and quiet in the house.
Hmm I was pretty keen after seeing people’s comments here, but as usual productreview has a whole lot of negative reviews. I guess the difference is a lot say the same thing, that it is loud and rattles. And there’s been a lot of failures after two years or so. We have a great old white Panasonic nuker that’s going strong. Might give this a miss.
My mother in law cleans it for us once every couple of months so not really missing out.
Need a microwave as ours packed in but price on amazon is more now but yet still cheaper than gg with current 10% off.
Depending on where you look many good reviews ie gg but jb hifi not so good and other sites.
Its a Panasonic we have and that's lasted 8 yrs.Im not sure what this invertor thing is but i like idea of a flatbed.
Not sure what to get but why is it lately most things are starting to need replaced in my household but after better deals have come and gone.
There is 10% off gg right now but is there prices cheaper not always or on this one at least.
Any others recommended on gg thats if with 10% makes them cheapest.
Hi guys,
Really looking forward to replacing my 5yr old non-branded microwave from Kmart but really concern the unit due to the previous experience with Panasonic. Had a unit on my kitchen bench with a thin kitchen towel on top to stop the dust landing and the unit died after 12 months. The new kitchen is so small and the only place for this unit is underneath the bench with a sandwich toaster on top, really concern the unit will be broken due to the overheating issue like the last one.
Any thoughts guys?
