  • Have you used many of the synthetic knots? I picked up a tuxedo knot from Yaqi but find it a little too flexible for me. Looking at that mew brown on sale and wonder if it'll have a little more backbone.

    • Refer to this guide for more info

I've used Mew, Tuxedo, Plisson, Snow Leopard & Timberwolf. To the best of my knowledge, the tuxedo is their stiffest synth.

Typically the knot diameter and loft will be the main deciding factor. 26mm will be denser than a 24mm and 60mm loft will floppier than a 52mm loft

I'd go for a thicker knot at 26mm with a shorter loft where possible for increased backbone, but reach out to David from Yaqi through the site and he will recommend his stiffest synth. He is excellent to deal with and always happy to help.

Comments on the 30mm White Knight Boss knight indicates that it is quite stiff
