Got the email today, $50 off their regular price. Got one to replace my 18V Ryobi line trimmer.
Amazon sells the skin for $200,and the kit $300. Kit is $319 at Sydney tools. I'm very curious to see if the battery is compatible with my Ryobi 36V tools as they look very similar

They have hedge trimmers, mowers and blowers too.
OK, I just looked on Costco. Not many in 40V though (but what else would you want?). If its cheap enough…
36v and 40v can be used without issues. I got an aftermarket 40v 4ah battery on ebay, works fine with my 36v leaf blower.
It looks like they are not compatible, but the 6ah aftermarket battery on eBay costs almost 50% less than the "Ryobi" aftermarket ones
Hi OP, Out of interest, what happened to your 18V Ryobi line trimmer that you had to replace it?
still works fine, will pass it on to a friend who is a bit shorter than me, IMHO it's a bit too short for taller people
The Ryobi stuff is different voltages. Looks like the contacts on the batteries are different too if you look at these

You'd be stuck in a very limited ecosystem if you got this as there's only that and a chainsaw.
